Blasting Transcendent deals too much damage
|
Way too much damage. Area level 75 monster dealt 2.2k unlucky damage with his 2 balls and beam to a 76% max res, 3k armor apply to ele.

+1, these mobs dealt 1.5-2k damage per shot, thats way too high with capped res and decent armor

I swear there’s some fucked-up shit going on with the mobs. I’m sitting at 2100 HP and 4.4k mana (can overflow to 6600 mana with 88% damage taken from mana before life). I can literally face-tank the Citadel boss on the highest difficulty, yet I just got one-shot twice in a row by white mobs—dead from a single hit. White mobs should never be able to deal that much damage.
At first, I thought there might be some mechanic that bypasses my mana. But after those two back-to-back one-shots, I’m really starting to doubt that explanation. I’ve also noticed that it usually happens when I get hit by some kind of projectile. On top of that, I’m maxed on all resistances (75% all elemental and chaos resist), and I’m always inside my Oasis: ~6x% damage recouped as life, ~5x% damage recouped as mana, and about 900 mana regen per second. |

I hate these lightning balls. Most of the time I can’t even see them because of the absolute particle-system fuckfest.
I have 90% Physical Damage Reduction, 90% elemental damage reduction across the board, +30% overcapped Lightning Resistance, critical damage immunity, and immunity to all curses. And yet these motherfuckers still one-shot me. Even the NORMAL-rarity ones hit me for around 900 damage. Nine. Hundred. To me. |

I'm going to quit going into Vaal temples because of the blasting transcendent. I also have maxed res and insanely high armor and these monsters can just instakill me. There is no defense against it. I quit. I give up.

Im quitting the season now. They are the only thing that kills me in T15 maps/temples and I have no idea how to solve this

This mob is overtuned. A white version of this specific kind did 5k damage to my energy shield, with capped res. I remember it doing 1k-1.2k damage on my warrior earlier on the league.
The only damage mod on my temple was additional attack/cast speed. Area was level 80. Última edição por Brizolaaa#5401 em 15 de jan. de 2026 15:32:37

Didn't see any other threads so wanted to add more info -
Level 81 temple 75% lightning res 15,616 armor applied to elemental damage 2.2k HP Getting one-shot by the projectiles. I'm not sure if it's the direct hits that do it or the explosion from missed shots because they tend to overlap, but it's instant. Gear isn't greatest just due to SSF rng, but they are definitely overtuned compared to everything else in the temple |

I'm having a similar experience with these enemies as a SSF Smith Of Kitava. I initially chalked it up to me having bad luck with gear and building incorrectly. I assumed that having 75% ele res, and around 22k ele armor simply wasn't enough. But then I realized that it's more than enough to straight up face tank against boss enemies, yet for some reason white/minion mobs can take me down in like 2 attacks on their own.
I then noticed that I can just block their projectiles with Raise/Resonating Shield and assumed that that's the way. I quickly realized it's not, because their attacks would fill up my stun bar in about 4-5 hits. Which is not an option when you can fight 6 of these dudes at a time. For context, I'm level 81 and last time I had to be mindful of the stun bar was when I was at around level 20. Also, I'm no expert, but I think there are several other enemies that have some weird math going on, it's just less noticeable, compared to BTs. Twilight Order Oathsworns and Undertaker(?) enemies seemingly deal insane amounts of damage with certain attacks. Oathsworns melt me with their beams faster than the Abyss enemies with a similar move, despite me having 75% fire res and 25k fire armor. And Undertaker(or something that looks like it) oneshot me with a single "ghostly" projectile during a map 3 levels lower than my characters level. I couldn't even tell what happened at first, but later it happened again and I couldn't even block said projectile. I didn't bother looking up the entity name at the time, because getting instantly melted through active blocking and all the resistances and armor, was so infuriating that I just closed the game and haven't played for several weeks. All I remember is that it was a projectile similar to that of Undertakers and that it straight up went through my shield. Stuff like that, as well as those weird unblockable insanely high-damage blood puddles, is really off-putting because there's seemingly no other counterplay than having extremely high mobility or nuking everything before it even shows up on your screen. |
