Wolf pack + Cast on Minion Death (not working)

Wolf pack is a minion gem, is supportable by minion support gems, and when these wolfs die, trigger HeartBound loop. They do not however count for Cast on Minion Death for some reason.

I currently use Wolf pack (Minion instability, Feeding Frenzy I, Infernal Legion III, Minion Mastery) to proc HeartBound Loop self damage to stack up Iron Ward. This all works correctly.

I just tried to use Cast on Minion Death to cast Profane Ritual but CoMD does not gain energy from the minions dying.

I'm not sure if its a bug or if something was overlooked, but I'd like to see this fixed. All the ways I can see this, CoMD+WP should work.
