Abyssal Comet visual effect issue

I recently purchased the Abyssal Comet gem visual effect and when I have it slotted in my spellslinger it does not produce the abyssal comets, just the regular ones. I also noticed when comet is in a Cast on Critical spirit gem to rain down comets it doesnt do abyssal ones, just regular ones. Can we please have this addressed.

as well as many other gem effects, like lightning bolt not working with the granted skill version
