All Essence Monsters Freed - Bug

I have tablets with maps contain additional essence and when I open one, the All Essence Monsters freed is checked so when I discover all the checkpoints, the other essences don't show on map

How do you know how many essences spawn in a map so you can tell there's no additional one?
