network ping trouble [poe2]
|
I've been playing on free weekends since December 12th. There were no problems. I liked the game and bought early access.
Faced with the problem of high ping every 20-30 seconds of the game. Ping jumps from 50ms to 3000-4000 in the game only. I tried changing the settings, changing the servers. Nothing helps. What is the reason for this and how to fix it? The attachment contains screenshots of the network graph. What device are you playing the game on, and how is it connected to your router? If you are using WiFi, by far the most reliable solution would be to switch to using an Ethernet cable. This is the official support response?
I played a week ago on a free weekend and there were no such problems. Otherwise, I wouldn't have bought the game. 1% packet loss does not correspond to the problem I am facing. I passed the first act without any technical problems. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uayUMUDNXrc I need some help... |

" As noted in my forum signature, GGG do not offer Technical Support. There will be no "official support response". " That depends on how the online application you are using has been architected. Without meaning to be rude, you cannot make a claim like that without having studied the netcode. Path of Exile 2 - and the original Path of Exile - have always suffered from netcode which is horrendous at dealing with any packet loss. It waits a long time for a message to time-out and resend the message (hence the latency spike you observe), and it fails to recover until the re-sent message is acknowledged, after which it tries to "catch up". Because of this, 1% packet loss will cause you to have problems considerably more than 1% of the time. " This is exactly what packet loss within your home network looks like in PoE.
