Lightning Warp Totem

Lightning Warp states it should be able to target Ball Lightning Projectiles as a jumping point for their explosions. However Lightning Warp on totems isn't able to target ball lightning projectiles cast by the totem, the player or COC. Maybe it doesn't see the balls as allied targets for the teleportation to happen?

Please, I really want my silly army of teleporting rods of destruction.
