Loot is showing for a short period while highlighting is toggled off.

To clarify, certain items (primarily currency items) are being shown and then fading away after 3-4 seconds while highlighting is toggled off. I frequently turn off highlighting in combat for clarity, but obviously this is interfering with that. It is seemingly unrelated to my loot filter, as it happens when I play with no filter enabled.

I tried reinstalling the game, but that didn't work unfortunately. Posting here, as I've seen a few posts online with people having the same issue, but there seems to be no obvious fix. I have experienced this in both PoE1 & 2 so any insight would be much appreciated.

Playing on Steam if that's relevant.
