Elemental Sundering not consuming freeze from allied minion affected by Frost Mage ability

The Frost Mage gained a new ability in 0.3 that reads:

"

Command a Skeletal Frost Mage to target a location or Minion and apply Ice Armour to Minions in an area, reducing damage taken from Hits, causing damage to enemies that Hit them, and counting as Frozen for other effects.

this caused allied minions to be considered Frozen for other effects.

Elemental Sundering reads:

"

Plunge your Spear into the ground to emit a pulse that Consumes Freeze, Shock and Ignite on a number of nearby enemies, Allies and Corpses...

But after using the Frost Mage ability on my minions, Elemental Sundering fails to consume the freeze..

Skeletal Brutes for instance can also consume freeze from allies:

"

Activate to summon hard-hitting, Reviving Skeletal Brutes that can Stun Primed enemies and Warcry on Command. This Warcry Intimidates nearby enemies and Consumes Freeze on enemies and allies to deal damage in an Area around them.

and this interaction DOES work properly. Brutes will consume the freeze on allies. the text from Elemental Sundering and Skeletal Bute is similar and there is no reason why the interaction with Elemental Sundering wouldnt work, which means this has to be a bug.
