Temple closed

Was doing a temple today and helping a friend to get some exp. He died a few times and i had to ress him. When a medallion dropped i decided to TP out and use one of my 6 so i could go back in and pick that one up. But when i then opened up the console the whole temple closed.

Is there a bug that the temple closes if a party member dies?
