SSF Softlock on Enter the Qimah Reservoir quest

After Jado opens the door to qimah reservoir and without entering the qimah reservoir, I decided to backtrack to look for the halani's pillars. This has caused a game state where the door to qimah reservoir is visually open, but jado is not there, and there's nothing to click on that allows me to proceed.

Because i am in SSF, there's no possibilty of joining a party to enter their instance of the area, ressetting the instance has not fixed the issue. and neither has returning to sel khari sanctuary to redo the fight where you save jado.
