Navalis Rest is bugged

So i missed the buff you get at the eye of hinekora on my first run through, kinda forgot about it. And now i returned to get it and it is not letting me cause i assume i don't count as "dead" anymore?
I don't think this is intended right? I also tried to talk to Navali at the entrance again aswell as at the trial of the ancestors but nothin helpin me there, so yeah. Pls take a look at it when you can
