Companions stopped summoning suddenly

My stats are fine. I've tried swapping to a lower level companion, re-equipping the gems, restarting the game, and killing my character.

I've tried goliath shrike,river drake, and bone sappling. They were turned on, and all previously each worked.

Normal skeletons still work. I don't know what to do.

I've been using skeletons now, and it keeps losing a skeleton (9 of 10), until I swap areas.

They are magically working again
