Unable to interact after killing Singing Caverns boss

After killing the mermaid end boss of the Singing Caverns, I got stuck. I was able to spin around, things would highlight when I moused over them, but I couldn't actually pick anything up, and couldn't talk to the Hooded One. Respawning at checkpoint worked, but was unable to get the loot. Not a big deal, but wanted to let you know. On PC with WASD keyboard/mouse.
