Vendor Item(s) Suggestion
Can you implement a way for the vendors items to reroll their stats instead of at every level gained?
Idea 1: every time you leave a town they change Idea 2: timed interval I was creating a number of characters last night that would run to the door, kill the dude, check the vendors for what they had then delete them, came across this ![]() I'm sure there's some nice starter gear for other classes as well I cannot roll level 40s in 4 minutes so I can see something useful from the vendor but level 1&2s can? response in-game 9/17/2011 ![]() Última edição por flashpoint#0170 em 17 de set. de 2011 20:31:43

I think it's intentional that the items don't change too often. You probably have noticed that many of the items they sell are actually usable and not too expensive. If you make the items reset every time you exit town, then people will start playing the mini-game of finding nice items from vendors instead of playing the game to get more loot.
But yes, an interval of one day seems reasonable. |

I agree here, a timed interval for equipment changeover would be the best solution. Then also a reroll on every time you level (for potentially higher level gear?)

"No actually, I don't find them usable. Having a cost is fine, it requires you to kill/loot things for orbs/scrolls on your adventure so you cannot farm the vendors and try to sell for profit "*I'll agree that playing that mini-game kind of sucks and bots were made in diablo 2 to just play that mini-game **but in PoE sockets are involved and looted monsters (with rarity find equipped?) tend to have a better number of sockets/links **I have been farming for relevant item pieces but that's been a rather long grind and I've run out of ID scrolls a number of times already |

" Okay. Maybe I made a slight exaggeration. From my experience of playing Witch, the armor vendor's items are mostly useless. I don't think I've bought a single item from them. The jewelry vendor on the other hand, offers nice items for Witches: wands, +15% cast rate amulet, +15% cold damage amulet. If you check them every level for a while, you'll probably find some that are worth buying. |

it seems the emphasis is more on getting loot from mobs and npcs only spawn simple gear for your level; in the off chance you have been having bad luck with drops you won't be totally screwed for the next area. just wish we had more pack space heh(future microtrans maybe? i'd get on that).
while we are on the subject of vendors i also wanted to bring something up. suggestion 1 will be more along the lines of whats already implemented. suggestion 2 will be a bit more radical.(let me just say first that i like the idea of trading items for items and this is just taking another spin on it) -=*Warning*=- massive wall of text detected

give items level/tier value. (so when selling to npcs rather than requiring a specific type of item which a player has to grind for they can supplement like thus: t5=t5, t4=t2+t2, t4(>=)t3+(t1/t2/t3) dunno if coding in another box for placing items before buying will take more effort than its worth.) as it stands now sometimes it gets annoying when you see something you like but you cant buy it. (some people will see as being the same or more annoying than not having enough money and then complain why isn't money just used instead) 2 drastically reduce or remove equipment from vendors, and allow them only to sell scrolls, potions, etc. drastically limit pot drops in the game to something like humanoid mobs only. we already have refillable pots and it really never made sense how boars and wolves and such mobs with no pockets can carry pots anyhow. have a traveling peddler type npc carry some ok loot for the people that prefer getting their armor that way, but make him spawn in random locations or only have a chance appear after a tough fight like hes coming to scavenge for loot. The walls of text are quite capacious today. Última edição por juicytarball#5279 em 5 de dez. de 2011 18:30:08

So it's been a year and some.. has it become unreasonable in that time?

I would certainly like a fresh batch of white rings every day to use all these chance orbs you gave us access to...

I'd like to see vendors incapable of selling items with perfect attributes, but that could be reset much more easily. If the maximum values on all attributes from vendors were half the actual maximum value (or halfway between the minimum and the maximum), then you could find decent stand-in gear on the vendors but without using blessed orbs, you wouldn't find anything worth much.

I never realized that the vendors inventory only changes once you level up.
It should be every 48 hours or once you level up whichever comes first. IGN: Zahreen
