Alternatives to Spell Echo and Multistrike

The melee one has potential but the other 2 are completely over powered.

Feedback isn't very helpful without clarification. What is overpowered about the other ones?

Remember that making use of these supports means you are turning a potential 6L skill into two 4L skills.
The idea's effectiveness is outclassed by what already exists in-game. For what reason would one want to use Imbue for their attacks when CoC would provide a much greater output and not be bound by their weapon's APS in order to cast spells? Combo attacks and Fusion inherently cause a problem for spells, mainly because most spells scale exponentially through their support gems.

For example, Freezing Pulse can use several support gems that outright multiply the output of the skill; GMP, Spell Echo, Cold to Fire, Increased Crit Multi and Cold Penetration to name a few.

By using the Fusion/Combo supports, you cut an active skills effectiveness drastically without much return. I don't think it is a case where increasing the damage of the support gem would mend the issue, because all spells are different. Arc would benefit much more than Ice Spear in that situation because the spell requires less links to function at an acceptable level.

How are you supposed to scale the skills using this support gem? Will this confuse new players? You are suggesting an attack that casts spells on-hit, once per attack. Does this push players to desire Daggers more than they are currently? It is the only weapon of choice capable of 2.0+ APS and rolling Spell Damage.

There is too much uncertainty for me to buy into this idea unfortunately, it seems like it would not be intuitive for new players and it causes several concerns for balance that aren't easily worked out. Not to mention it give even more reason to use a dagger over the other unpopular weapon types.

Those are some fair points. Mostly I had hoped to be able to create some additional utility with certain kinds of builds.

A cooldown on the Imbue gem might be a possible remedy for insane spamming. However, for daggers, CoC would still be the superior option in almost all cases.

I had not really thought about new players when putting these ideas forth. I don't find complex mechanics to be an obstacle to enjoyment, so the idea had not really entered my brain.

Thank you for taking the time to write so much feedback.
