Why do we need minion damage boost in passive skills ?

Because you pick up Spiritual Aid on the left side of the Templar tree which applies minion damage nodes to you. You also pick up Righteous Army which gives you life regeneration which helps regenerate your Energy Shield if you have taken Zealot's Oath - which applies life regeneration to Energy Shield.

Hello! I just wanted to thank you for this Guide! I just started PoE a few days ago and most of the guides are unfortunately quite useless if you have no idea about anything.

However your guide is so detailed and so "stupid-proof" written that it helps a lot for new players (like myself) to get a hang of the game and of the character itself.

One thing I wondered is: Around level 30 you choose "Minion Damage" and "Lord of the Dead" in the skill tree instead of going around with "Spell Critical Strike Chance". Is there a reason for that. As far as I figured we are not using any pets anywhere and although I read through your guide carefully I couldn't figured the reason. Was just wondering. :)

Anyway! Thanks a lot again!

Few posts above this is the answer, its because the node called Spiritual aid

@Enki91: I found a very interesting setup yesterday:
4 link storm brand with ES leech / curse on hit / warlords mark
and 4 link CWDT with immortal call, increased duration and brand recall
You get to apply the curse and ES leech with your brand, and whenever you get hit and trigger CWDT it summons the brands on you which will apply the curse to all mobs around you as well as leeching ES for survivability.
With this setup you can remove ES leech from arc and use a better gem for DPS.
Thats an interesting setup with CoH + Brand Recall, but I doubt replacing ES Leech would be viable. Since we’re always leeching, we get the greater damage multiplier, so another gem would have to be superior to that. Come to think of it, BR is instant, so it doesn’t really need to be on CWDT, but it does follow the correct line of thinking.
Hey there !

Currently lvl 80, loving the build for the moment, it melts packs of mobs :)

Having some trouble sometimes with bosses as they get close to me due to the lack of phys dmg reduction, but if i can manage to throw the traps it kill them quite fast.
And same with mobs, when i get surrounded, it can gets tricky to get out and not die, but if i improve my placement and mobility i should be ok.

I have 4230k life / 2k ES / 930 Mana

Here is my current gear :

Any tips for gear improvment etc ? I only have around 50c for now tho :)

Replace your belt enchant and anything else that specifies “to attacks.” Other than Whirling Blades, everything we do is a spell, thus gaining nothing from “to attacks.” Check out the gearing section for specific advice. Get a 5L Rare chest with good defensive stats. The damage loss will be well worth the increased survivability. Replace daggers with rares, even poor-mid quality ones surpass Hearbreaker. Check out the flask section again. You could probably farm Atziri if you don’t want to buy her flask.
One thing that I'm finding very difficult is to roll the correct affixes on flasks.
Atm I've spent far more than 300 alterations trying to roll the correct affixes on my Life flask. Got some catalysed suffixes but all them had the wrong prefix, and almost none of them were worth anything.
Tried to roll only suffix to beast craft it, but never made it.
It's kinda driving me nuts. If I knew it would be this hard, I would just sell the alts and buy the proper flask from other player.
Jesus, I guess the RNG isn't with me this league xD

hey, here is my gear

Same question as above, what could i improve. I know that you guys use daggers, but i dont see how they are better, if i dont use whirlwing blades. Atleast i havent found any good daggers to use.

So far its been pretty easy and fast to clear maps, im up to T10 now. Some bosses prove to be hard, but map clear is very good, packs just melt.

I also know that im missing some spell combinations, ill deal with that once i get the lab done for second golem.

I'm playing this build in SSF and just got a Inspired Learning unique jewel drop.

Would you think it's worth it to move a few passives around and use it ?

Ok thanks a lot !

And what stats should i focus on then for the chest ? life and es ? cause i'm already caped in res atm.

Also which gems do i put in for 5L

And for the daggers same, what stats shouldi focus on ? cause the 70% spell dmg from hearthbreaker + the ES seems op

Also do you think i should try to remove the 3 link storm brand and put CWDT + IC + ID ? that could help ?

If you roll the correct prefix but an empty suffix, use Beastcrafting to obtain the correct suffix. Alternatively, you can sometimes find the correct prefix with an empty suffix on trade for very cheap.

The gem is good for high end speed clears as it functions as a pseudo-headhunters. However, it’s currently going for 1.8-2 ex. If you sell it you would get a much better value in upgrades.. Oops, missed SSF at first. Yes, it’s probably worth using. I recommend the far left if you pick up the extra power and endurance charge nodes (4 passives). It could work in the top center too, but for much greater investment.

Read the gear section, but specifically look for increased life, energy shield, and any needed dexterity on chest. High end crafted daggers would probably each give you 5x as much damage, but I can’t really compare anything right now nor can you afford them. Heartbreaker really is trash in the long run, just makes a viable starter dagger. Try 5o find something with high cast speed and spell damage.
