Could you pls explain the scion/assassin ascendancy mechanics?
Does the assassin route 10% power charge generation vs full hp enemies generate enough power charge and dont need pcoc gem?
Also why controlled destruction? Does -100% crit chance not bother us on a crit build?
i don't fully understand.
thx

Don't the following for granted because i've only played as witch so far and I'm currently in the leveling process for assassin but I can imagine more or less the differences.

None of the builds uses pcoc on arc. You just throw down an orb of storms which has pcoc linked and you get the charges really fast. Also it's 10% chance to get a power charge every time you don't crit not when you hit a full hp enemy (I have no clue where you even got that from). About controlled destruction, the damage bonus is huge and since you will have 8 power charges with dual void batteries and extra critical chance per power charge from the assassin ascendancy you will be close to crit capped anyway.

Edit: A question of mine on this is why doesn't the tree pick the 9th power charge which is really close since it makes such a big difference.

Originally pcoc was in the sccion arc setup before latest amendment.

Hey, I've tested around a lot with Inquisitor and wanted to share my impressions of it so far.

Playstyle wise it's incredibly fast, since you always whirl around only stop very briefly, in which time you press your 2 skills and 3 flasks. Therefore, if you like a hectic playstyle, inquisitor is tons of fun, if not, don't even bother with it.

The definite advantage of it is the high critchance pared with full penetration. With at least somewhat decent gear and a lvl 21 Increased Critical Strikes, 95% cap will be quite easily achieveable, which means, basically all your damage ignores resists, which is really huge in higher maps. My equip is currently all worth between 1-5 chaos, except for call of the brotherhood and the 6-link (cost me 2 ex) and I'm sitting at 85% crit and 50k dps, with only arc being lvl 20, the rest below (with powercharges and golem, but without any flasks or other buffs and with lifeleech instead of empower due to no Vinktars). So far I've tried up to T13 maps and didn't have any issues, so i didn't bother upgrading my gear yet. For single target bosses, switching arc for stormcall and lifeleech for less duration gives me a stormcall with 95% crit, 16k damage per use and 0.16s casttime (once again, just with powercharges and golem), which destroys bosses pretty quickly.

My perfect lvl 100 tree looks exactly like yours, except that i take the jewel next to vaal pact (the dex on the way is nice too) instead of the 2 mana points.

Gem-setup that worked best for me so far:

Arc - Spellecho - Increased Critical Strikes - Faster Casting - Increased Critical Damage (would drop that one on a 5L) - Lifeleech (don't have a Vinktars, else Empower)
Orb of Storm - PC on Crit - Increased AoE - Increased Duration
Cast when damage taken - Immortal Call - Increased Duration - Vaal Haste (selfcast)
Clarity - Arctic Armor - Ice Golem - Enlighten (optional, just gives more mana for Mind over Matter)
Herald of Ice - Curse on Hit - Warlords Mark
Whirling Blades - Faster Attacks - Fortify (I often tend to whirl into the group accidently due to the fast whirling blades, nice to have fortify then).

Flasks i currently use Life, Hybrid, Silver (awesome for both cast and attackspeed, substitutes quicksilver), Atziris Promise (instead of Vinktars) and Diamond (considering dropping this one for either another defence flask or sulphur).

So all in all, i gotta say, this build is incredibly fun to play once you get the hang of it and has no trouble clearing red maps with minimal gear (~1ex worth with a 5L is good enough). Thanks to double dagger you have really fast map clear with whirling blades and can get crit maxed (up to 180%+ crit per dagger possible). Can highly recommend trying it out.

Thanks a lot for this guide, it was an awesome foundation for theorycrafting before the ascendancy launch and helped me out a lot!
Can anybody show skilltree 2.2 arc witch?
@wage, that sounds great, thanks for posting.

I'd really appreciate it if you could post your gear as well please.

I'm guessing for 2 ex you're not using a Coil, so what does your defence feel like without it?
hey enki i went lookin at vessel flask this morning there are alot on the list what am i lookin for on the flask to buy some are worth 1 exalt others like 30 chaos i have 2 exalt what should i buy on my vessel of viktor flask ?

https://www.pathofexile.com/account/view-profile/wage/characters the Lvl 90 Inquisitor.

Really using absolute cheap gear, for example still using geoffris on the pc on crit, just because i still had it from leveling and didn't bother changing it yet, even though a 1-5c helmet with life and a couple resists would buff survivability quite a bit. Actually, i might just upgrade that now. :D

Defences feel okayish i guess, if i don't fuck up badly, i won't die, since you can always keep your distance/dodge and lifeleech. But with better gear you'll be even safer, should end up with 5.5k life and 1k unreserved mana, possible more with depending on how good your gear actaully is. Lightning coil would obviously be perfect, but that's gonna make it quite expensive. That said, i didn't try anything higher than T13 (mostly because is simply don't have one), but Village Ruin, Courtyard and Wasteland were all fine. But ye, there are a lot of possibilities to get both better damage as well as much better defences yet, so i think it has a ton of potential.

EDIT: Spent a bit over an exalt on Helmet upgrade, Beltupgrade and Maligaros. Now at 89% crit (no quality/lvl 20 gems), 4,715 hp and 856 unreserved mana (which is both gonna go up with passive tree (jewels + 2 life nodes still missing) and enlighten levels.

Could use some help here or at least some advices in gearing, that's what I currently use:

Spoiler

Having 3.5k life, 1.1k shield and 1.2k mana. Tooltip dps is around 6.2dps, with charges etc it is around 11.3k.

Finally finished labyrinth on cruel, i think for merciless I'm too bad, since I still farm around.

What should I look for now?

I basically take all the two-stone rings and chance them, what else should I look for? Maybe other gem setup? I'm happy so far, but when I can boost it, why not. I run with herald of ice and thunder.

Thanks guys.
HI , i´m playing your build in PErandus league currently lvl 89 and wondering why u play with 1 call of the brotherhood? wouldnt 2 of them be much bettter for your penetration gem value when u deal pure cold dmg?
And how did u get to 5,7k Hp in your Atziri Video with this build?

2 reasons for this, first you lose valuable stats you need such as life and resists which will be really hard to cap with lightning coil, second and most important since you now deal 0 lightning damage even though you got 100% chance to shock you can't shock because you need to deal any amount of lightning damage to trigger that.

Pretty simple, easy to use but so goddamn low on defence. Literally i died like 10 times trying to kill Daresso on 41 lvl (1060 HP 500 ES 60% cold res)
