Palpable hate on Lightning Warp totems

Also one more thing
Spell Echo should work with Lightning Warp.

https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/960092/page/1

Mark in the past has spelled out some reasons why it doesn't right now. But I don't see why these can't be worked around logically. The only real allowance needed is that a lightning warp with spell echo is allowed to target the same location as the caster. That way it would simply function as "When the first warp ends, a second warp is cast, targeting the same location". The only difference between this and other spell echo behaviours would be that the second cast would wait until the first effect finished instead of casting immediately.

I think the idea that all spell/support gems of appropriate types should work together should trump any issues of practicality or minor qualms of fuzzy logic. One reason stated is that the second lightning warp would be 'uncontrollable' and 'mess with your players movement' in awkward ways. But I say- if you don't want that effect, you shouldn't use spell echo. It would be quite bad for LW as a mobility skill, but with this method, it would be good for LW when used as a damage skill, by totems, mines, even players- it would let you cast significantly faster and hit the same location three times in a row per cast (first warp's destination, second warp's both target and destination). This would be quite neat with totems, as it would allow them to pummel the same target several times in a row. It wouldn't even necessarily be as autoinclude as spell echo seems to be for many other casts, as you'd sacrifice the rapid aoe targeting and survival of your totems in exchange for higher "pseudo-single target" dps.

I mean, it doesn't hurt players to have an option available if they simply choose not to use it, but it sure hurts the builds that would use it to not have that option available. You wouldn't want to warp twice as a spectral thrower who just uses a LW+RD setup in your gloves or whatever, but for sunblast mines it would be excellent
bump for futilities sake
I stopped reading beta forums its depressing, everything, like the news. They are breaking shit that never was broke. We just have to hope Chris or someone reigns them in by drop date.

The worst part is that GGG constantly makes monsters that can use lightning warp totems just fine. Shock and Horror isn't going to suddenly have to rebuild when the changes hit, neither is that one invasion boss and don't even get me started on the bloodlines ones.

Then anyone who thinks "Hey that looks like a good idea" gets told "Our rules are not your rules".

Of course, those are nasty because they leave shocking ground :)

Enemy warp totems are slow as fuck, the change won't affect them because they never used reduced duration on them. The only reason enemy LW totems work is because they have a truckload of them active.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

Well all the CB changes I've seen so far still point to LW being nerfed hard and LW totems being dead as dillinger, and not a bone thrown

Will Flame Dash be the new Lightning Warp for totems?

Because it happens instantly by default, it means increased duration can be used to boost the totem's lifespan, rather than requiring reduced duration to make Lightning Warp instant.

But instead of that they introduce in Awakening yet another (at least one, idk maybe its more than that) skill that doesn't work with all support gems it should work with.
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
