Show min/max stats on items suggestion.

Hi,

sorry for necroing this old thread (but I´m a necromancer, so I´m allowed to do that).

I found this thread while googleing "poe display item stats range".

Only a week ago I came back to the game after taking a long pause and I was wondering if this issue is now solved somehow?

I absolutely suck at figuring out whether and item is "valuable" or not. I usually import an item into poe.trade and get an idea. But it takes so long to do this for every single "suspiciously good" item after a long evening of farming.

So - is there an easier way to display the tiers of pre- and suffixes and the min-max range? It would be so helpful!

Exilemods or Poeaffix are probably better for determining whether an item has "good" rolls (if you don't want to use the macro). The macro has its own shortcomings (like its inability to differentiate hybrid rolls). Becoming familiar with what "high" rolls are will make your life much easier (and save you a LOT of time, not having to import items into Poe.trade)

I think this is actually a good idea.

Thank you guys, that helped a lot!
I wasn´t even aware that we have "essences" and hybrid rolls. Whatever that means. (In my head the idea of a chicken / beef burrito manifested when hearing hybrid roll).

Thanks for the 2 websites, I´ll check them out and try my best!

Cheers!
So, a hybrid roll is an affix that has two different stats, but is a single affix. Rares can have 3 prefixes and 3 suffixes. The easiest/most commonly confused example of a hybrid affix is probably on ES items. ES items can roll %increased Energy shield, stun/block recovery, and an affix that is %ES+stun/block recovery. The affix that is %ES+Stun/Block Recovery is the "hybrid". The highest tier % ES roll on an ES chest for example goes up to 132%. You will often see chests with well over 132% increased ES though. That is because they have the % ES affix AND the %Es/Stun hybrid affix (which can give up to another 56% ES). As I'm sure you can imagine, this creates confusion for folks quite often.

That's why having sites like Exile mods is very helpful.

Ahhh I got it. That makes it of course very difficult to tell if an item has top tier a/p fixes and also which range they are in.
Well then, GGG should at least show the afixes and prefixes when pressing ALT i.e.

Putting an item in a crafting bench can tell you whether an item has a hybrid roll potentially.

Sorry, maybe I didn't clarify it- max possible in the tier. Things like "how many tiers there are" might be left to checking on the wiki, but knowing what max stats an item can have for the sake of divining and like I said before- determining value for trading - would be pretty nice.

I support this, even though i like having greater hold of this knowledge because boy, everyone who does probably profits more than who doesn't in this game. ;p
Buff life on the right side of the tree! Just a little! Pretty Please!

Why should those who have the knowledge NOT profit more? It isn't like the information isn't out there, freely accessible to any and everyone.

Marvel Heroes has this feature and it's probably my most missed feature since starting to play Path of Exile again. Holding alt while highlighting an item should show the min-max roll range of each stat/line-item. If I see 26% fire resist on an item I want to know if it's out of a range of 5%-30% or 20%-50% for example.
