Ok, So I can absolutely recommend flame golems in helm set up for clearing. For higher tier stuff you can simply swap in a helm set up with AG/ Empower/Minion life. He keeps his item set up when you desummon him /swap helms.
It's a beautiful thing. Flame Golems + fire Specters are the best of both worlds.
I am tempted to spec out of Spirit Eater, and take Commander of Darkness, making it easier to get a Unset ring with dex, for Arctic Armour. I say with dex cuz it would replace my current ring, and must have dex. I lost a fair bit of HP losing jewel sockets to Golems, and there for my Mana pool is unnecessarily high.

I would lose about 30% additive minion damage taking Commmander of Darkness over Spirit Eater.
??? You don't lose any minion damage switching from SE to CoD. The only minion damage mod in SE is Minions deal 30% increased damage. All the other buffs only affect you, not your minions.

I am asking for some suggestions with gems and specters. I play on the Xbox now which means basically all self found and play alone. I am trying solar guards and am at level 68. My specter gems are in a 5 link and are as follows:
Raise spectre- burning dmg- minion dmg -elemental focus- minion and totem elemental resistance support
Finding advancing fortress or scourge has been impossible for me so far but I have played this game since beta off and on and last week an exalted orb dropped for me👍🏼
Any suggestions ideas greatly appreciated, I have read through this guide so many times but have become confused with all the different opinions and ideas.

Solar guards in a 5L are ideally Raise Spectre : Greater Multiple Projectiles : Spell Echo : Elemental Focus : Minion Damage.
Then you swap in Point Blank or Slower Projectiles for GMP when you need high single target damage for bosses - well, some bosses, anyway. I don't bother unless it's one of the guardians, or shaper.
When you get a 6L, add in Controlled Destruction.

I think the problem is that he's summoning his TV's in his hideout, and not the highest level map he can in. Therefore wouldn't they be lower level?

I guess I'm confused. I thought Specter level was determined by 1) the levle of the Specter gem and 2) the level of Desecrate
Reagan is correct, this would indeed give you level 60 spectres. Lower if you haven't maxed your hideout.
DI, you are most of the way there, just missing that last 3rd piece:
3) The level of the area they were summoned in.
If you join global 6666, often fellow summoners will give away portals to completed guardian / shaper / obas cursed trove maps so you can max your spectre levels. They persist through logouts, so unless you manage to get one killed, or make a mistake an unsummon them, you only need to do this once.
The biggest problems I've had have been accidents. I upgraded from a 5L to a corrupt 6L Vis Mortis, and the Raise Spectre gem couldn't go in the bottom right socket because it's green... so even tho I swapped armour in town instead of hideout, I still lost all my specs. And I took off my gloves once, which dropped my dex far enough that it unequipped my boots and I lost 1 spec... funny thing is, I ran maps all night with just 3 and didn't notice!

My 21 AG died in a tier 4 trial. Really? I gotta buy his gear again? What kinda gay crap is that? So...you can't do Uber Lab with AG then??
edit: guess I was suppsoed to take the AG gem out /desummon him. He keeps his items.
For your AG to survive, he needs more levels... and maybe more life. I run him in a +2 minion gems helm, with fortify, minion life, and empower 3+. Plus, for the TV support I give him Bringer of Rain, which boosts his life even more. With this setup I've taken him through a ghosted Phoenix and he survived. You could add in Southbound gloves as well, then chances are he can tank Shaper's beam.
T4 trial seems awfully low to lose him in. If you're going to support him with just a couple gems though, put him in a weapon or shield, then you can desummon by using weapon switch.
I was under the impression you don't need empower for map clearing, only for shaper. My AG is level 21. I do have a empower level 4 bought and ready. He completely disappeared in that trial which is pretty stupid IMO.
Anyways guys, thanks for the replies. I don't know why I thought the colors were different for Solar Guards. I'll give it a shot.
I used the fire guys from like 45-60 and it was great. Now mapping though, it's pretty slow.
Well... to be honest, the colours are different. It's just that minions put out so damn much damage that using slightly off the perfect combo is still extremely powerful.
Ideal colours for TVs is 4B1R1G.
Ideal colours for SGs is 5B1G.
On the other hand, I'm currently using a corrupt 4B2G with SGs and they are tearing content up.

I used 3TV+1WM, but the clear speed was too slow. So I switched to 4SG, while keeping the chest sockets color, and changed just 3 gems (mentioned on the 1st site) - Swift Affliction for GMP, Increased Burning Damage for Fire Penetration and Minion and Totem Elemental Resistance for Spell Echo.
Only for guardians and elder I go 4TV, they are superior for bosses.
As for uber lab I took Spirit eater, should I change it to Commander of darkness? Would I need to run Clarity then?
So far I have no problems in maps, for me the clearing speed is fast enough. Neither I use Scourge, the Advancing fortress is ok for me with its block chance.
I appreciate any tips for further improvement.

You absolutely should change Spirit Eater for Commander of Darkness. It will give you much higher resists, you can drop Herd of the Flock from your tree and spend that point somewhere else. You'll need to run an aura of some sort, most folks like clarity. I often run haste in an Essense Worm ring. This may end up overcapping your elemental resists to the point that it's worthwhile to drop your amulet and use something else. The Anvil is really quite nice for this build.
I would suggest looking for a shield with percentage of block applied to spell block:
Also, if you move your stone golem to your main hand, he will get the fortify on hit from the Andancing Fortress as well as you.
