[3.x - Discontinued for now] Burning Spectres - Torch the Atlas - HC Shaper, Elder, Uber Atziri

There is probably no way I beat shaper or any of the ubers with this gear. Only got about 40c (total) in all the gear. Unfortunately, I'm dirt broke this league, so MF build isn't gonna happen. I doubt I'll even be able to buy a 6L Vis Mortis this league. I'm spending all my currency on maps, and not getting any returns on them. Running maps (any higher than T8) is a guaranteed net loss. Haven't found a single drop worth more than 20c this league. Almost level 87. I don't see me going much past 90 before calling it quits. Due to a lack of currency/drops/map drops. Not really because of the build.

I think Zizaran did a video on helping with sustaining map pools - https://youtu.be/mpXtJbd2Abo

Any help would be to get your atlas done as early as possible at the start of the league. Use trade 820 to trade maps on similar tiers. Create a sales tab for things only worth an alchemy. That helped me to sustain alchemy orbs at the start of the league. Only use alchemy orbs when doing yellow maps and above. Buy maps that you need, trade or sell the ones you have already done. Atlas completion bonus helps a lot. And once Guardians and Shaper are down, I nearly always ever run shaper influenced maps.

I will only trade or buy maps if I need to move elder influence, especially when it comes to red tier 13,14,15s. I have only been able to sustain up to tier 11 and 12 red maps.

Edit. Also to add, at the start of the league, I have a 1c tab that I sell anything that may be worth 5-10c for 1c. This is to generate as much chaos as possible. I would rather have things sell in the hour, than a couple days into the league. I underprice the items to undercut the competition at early league start on the market. A lot of that adds up quickly and I made about 200c in the 4-5 days from that alone. A lot of people would say it would be better to turn those into exalts and watch the price grow on them, but at this point you are buying gear, items, maps to carry you through to end game.

Being efficient is important. A quad tab used as a dump tab allows you to chain maps and quickly dump everything into that stash tab when done with a map. When that fills up, or you are at the end of your day, You go over it and see what you can sell and vendor.

At the start of a league, everything sells e.g I was selling 4 link boots, gems with some quality on them for an alchemy orb the first couple of days easily. Also knowing what to pick up has always been the key. At this point, the market has stagnated, too much junk items, things that are overpriced and never sell, people get really picky and it becomes harder to sell things.

Also if you find a trial on a map, don't be lazy and actually do it. The 'Offering to the Goddess'is always a stable 4-5c and sells within the hour.

There was one T8 map boss in particular that just insta kills me if I stand still for even 1 second. I think it was one of maligaro's variants. Also the shavrone + brutus combo is pretty lethal as well. Got instagibbed in that fight also. Solaris clone, another dangerous one. I got insta-killed by solaris clone just by getting grazed by the beam. I got around 8kish effective HP. My resists are over capped so I'm still 75% resists in an elemental weakness map.

Also, there was a T10 map boss, rogue exiles, and they killed my Stone Golem and Animated guardian! Stone golem has 23k+ HP and crazy regen, and he got gibbed within 5 seconds of the engagement. I ran away and portaled out. Tipped someone 1c to finish the fight, and the dude I called for help basically instagibbed them all like they were freakign trash mobs. Some sorta molten strike build. Those Rogue exiles in that T10 map totally cucked me!

Shit does too much freaking damage in this game. The map bosses are either complete faceroll, or extremely rippy. I usually avoid the later fights while leveling.

If someone wants to list off some map bosses that can insta-kill this build if you make 1 mistake, post them and I'll avoid them while trying to level them up, or I'll just tip someone 1c to finish them for atlas completion. It's not worth losing exp at the level 85+ range on a heads or tails rip vs an overtuned map boss.

I'm debating on whether I should just use TVs over solar guards if I plan on running rippy boss fights so they just hurry up and die real fast like before they can gib me with some oneshot move.

Yeah that Tower boss duo is pretty lethal for anyone who is completing their atlas. Understanding their mechanics when it comes to bosses (especially when it comes to guardians, shaper, aztri) will help you out a lot. Have you tried Bone offering for added block chance for you and your minions? Are you using instant health flasks? Something like this? -

Have you desecrated your spectres to the highest map level possible? You could try TV as kiting is much easier as the totems just sit there scorching raying the boss, while while you and your minions run away.

I have no problems with your bosses, only T14 Plaza and Dark Forest bosses was real problem for me, mostly because of my low move speed. I think even minotaur was easier than this two. (I still died from mino when he was under unknown mods - rare unidentified map, but that was because I've whirled right under falling stone)
I haven't finished all t14-t15 maps yet (need to buy all the other maps, they just didn't want to drop to me), maybe some other bosses would also be rippy
And yeah, you should move a lot with this build, its better not to take damage at all rather than take it and stay alive

In previous league, I got 1 shotted by Relic Chambers Map boss AOE, in a rare uid map. Not sure if that AOE is chaos damage or it was a crit with many damage mods on map.

Other then that, the only boss who one-shotted me was the Minotaur with at least two damage mods.
-------------------
Edit: I guess it was because I used curses on him: on curse he casts "Elemental Warding", which does a lot of damage:

Skills fire 16 additional Projectiles
curse_nova_damage_+%_final_per_curse_removed [25]
Deals 2743 to 4115 Fire Damage
Deals 2244 to Cold Damage
Deals to Lightning Damage

How much life is enough for AG to fight with shaper/elder? Mine is 47k in tooltip, not sure if this is enough

One boss that one shotted me recently was Fenemus, the spider beast for the challenge. Doing it with 5 others, buffs the spider a lot with poison and chaos damage, that its second phase can one shot you if you stay in one position too long. All the other portal beasts were easy.
Is chaos resistance necessary in this build in HC? If so, how much do I need? Thank you.
Hey dude, thanks for writing a guide!

I am using your guide as the base for my first hardcore character, but have a couple of questions :)

1) Im seriously struggling to find "Flame Sentinels" in the solaris temple, i am ONLY seeing assault ribbons and galvanized ones. No flame ones, am i doing something wrong or am i just unlucky, or an idiot :)

2) Im seriously struggling to gain enough dexterity to use some of the gems you suggested. My desecrate is really low level due to not having dexterity, and i cannot use the anger aura even at level one due to not having the required dex, as suggested i used the +dex +all res jewel from quest reward but its just not enough, what do you recommend,. as obviously a high level desecrate is imperative to this build, and i cannot simply buy one as this is my first hardcore character :P

Thanks!
