Unique Diviner's Strongbox = Divination Cards nerf?

Found another Diviners Box. Got 2 of the corrupted jewel cards.

So make that 5 out of 8. Doubt I`m just "luckY"

These clearly have too big of a spawn chance and they are shit.

Diviner boxes feel like they drop far less good cards this league.

I am no longer really excited to see one as I did in the past.

I don't think the game algorithm goes like
->Rolls Diviner
->Rolls for Unique

It more likely rolls for unique, then rolls which unique strongbox it is - regardless of the base type.

Diviners have been nerfed repeatedly however; they are a shadow of their former selves. Blame the kids farming them using hacks to see what was preloaded and just repeatedly opening zones like the harvest and the coast.

I have been playing alsmot 2 years.

It was the first time I found it and I was soo excited.

And it came out the worst common cards ever.

Why does this is in the game in the first place????

I am going to be "that guy" and give my good luck RNG story.

Level 76. Flooded Mine map, Monstrous Treasure prophecy I lucked into proc'd.

I got 5 (yes 5) Diviners. Interestingly, even rerolling them with the limited currency I had at that level did not provide any stimulating completed sets.

But not a single cartographer's box, interestingly enough.

I may see 3-4 Diviners a league with my level of playtime (and that would include the odd Monstrous Treasure), and I exceeded that in one prophecied map.

Just found 1 and....it only dropped....


1 Prosperity card !! o.O W T F ?!?! And I died 3x trying to kill the void mini bosses spawning...

I came across one last league and spent 4 or 5 divine orbs on it to get it to a favorable full stack #, because I didn't have anything better to spend currency on at that point, and it dropped garbage.

It's really not that surprising that they're bad.
