[3.10] Death's Oath CI Occultist (RETIRED)
I'm new to the game (start with incursion), I want to try your build, first sorry if is a dumb question, but the Dot DPS number in PoB worries me (77k), in other guides have millions in DPS, i check an RF build has 1+ milion Dot DPS, this number are right? i`m missingh something?

" I'm afraid yes those numbers are probably accurate, this build is a worse version of RF at least as far as damage goes. This build is mostly for map clearing, not bossing. The curses, chaos immunity, fast ES regen and pops from profane bloom just make it a decently safe map clearer, however it is not close to being a top tier build for clearing. For bossing, at least T16+ you want to switch to an ED setup in your chest which gives you about 250k Dot dps (with wither stacks up). With blight and DO, total Dot dps should be around 300k. Keep in mind the above numbers, and the numbers in the pastebin given in the guide are from 3.2. In 3.3 with the loss of Aspect of the spider, we have lesser dmg (DO- 55k ED - 185k) but more survivablity. As far as I know, RF probably will be a lot more expensive, but it has much more boss damage and similar clearspeed. I'd say only go for this, if you think it looks fun and you want to try out an occultist. You can check out the videos for that, they're from 3.2 but it should be more or less the same. Time to try my first DO build. All the gear drop lately plus my league goal points the direction to this build.

- level 87 - 7700 ES - Res 81 - 75 - 85 - 2 auras (discipline + vitality) - 3 curses (temp chains + enfeeble + despair with flask) - dont have watcher's eye (so expensive!) just spreding rot (x2) and energy from within. Ten Thousand Ways To Die ...

how do you get the third curse?, whispering doom lets you have 2, and then? Sry coming from the shadow trickster version of this build, but using just 2 curses right now, absolutely facemelts everything up to t15, might wanna try adding the boots that grant deathwalk, that's what i'm using.

" 3rd Curse comes from the Malediction node in Occultist. 2 curse is fine, we only go 3 curses when we don't have access to Aspect of the spider, to use up the remaining mana. If you do have access to it, dual curse along with it is much better imo. I feel like we're already struggling with jewel sockets and gem links to be adding those boots. Also Sin's gives us a lot of ES and some dex. I feel like the extra damage isn't worth losing all that. Hey OP nice guide! Im currently using this build for the delve league and i was wondering if someone could help me, i need to know what should i upgrade next this is my current gear:

" Your priorities would be to get a better belt and shield. You will get a lot of ES there. 20/20 gems are important as well. You haven't linked your gloves, I'm assuming you're using Allellopathy, which is important. You could also get a better Sin trek, that would be upto 40 more es. The boots % regen enchantment also really helps with survivability. If you're following the 3.3 section (meaning you don't have access to aspect of the spider), you should be using Heretic's veil and triple curses from the get go. You probably won't need the enlighten once you switch helms. " That's upto you. I haven't tested phase run, so you can test it vs shield charge and use whichever feels better. Phase run might be better for delves. Also if you can, run both IC+Grace since delves are rippy. I didn't have an issue without IC, but use it if you have the gem slots for it. Is it possible to put ED on 6-link staff instead of death's oath itself and take out the shield, or would it be too squishy of a build?
