Unfortunately, the only person who can comment on ff3's build is him. I'd say that while his life pool is much higher and you can take a big hit, the lack of dodge means you don't avoid any hits either, so you end up taking lots of small hits that chip away at your life.

With regards to the AG. The UberE fight is pretty safe as long as you don't let it stand on degens while taking fire from shaper's beam/balls, ie. make sure to reposition it.

Its life pool should be 40k+ if it's at least level 24 and has minion life support. I use a +3 helmet with 21/20 AG without Emp3; my AG has 46k tooltip life.

The main danger for AG (and all minions) is in boss fights that have damage mods & ele pen, such as Nexus bosses or Delve bosses.

Just thought I'd share this science experiment.

I wanted to see if Shaper was doable with '1-link' Fire-Eaters. So I let him regen back to 100% for the 3rd phase and took out all the support gems: https://youtu.be/rNm7eqvrmBw

This build can easily clear core content even if you can't afford a 6L chest.

Oh, I noticed you're using fire pen gem instead of faster projectiles, and path of building shows it would increase DPS a lot more than faster projectiles :O

It's for mapping: FEs have fairly short range and Faster Proj almost doubles the it. Fast Proj also increases the range on the Phantasm's projectiles. So, if you don't use Faster Proj, you might find that you miss a lot of monsters while you run through a map.

If you manage to get white sockets on your chest and don't mind gem swapping for boss fights, then you can swap Faster Proj -> Fire Pen & Phantasms -> Ele Focus.

I don't bother gem swapping, but had Fire Pen slotted because I had just done Uber Elder and I was trying for a 2min kill (got 2:10).

Im psyched to start flashback with this build :D. Such a good outlined guide, and thank you for your excellent maintenance and involvement in the reply section.

How much es do you have with all that gear?

Right now 6.5k ES, and i keep dying because i have no stun or chain immunity. However i did manage to hit 11k ES with really good gear, but i sold it :(

I've also tried an ES-based version (but was hybrid rather than CI). ES recharge delay was the biggest factor in survivability. Uber Elder was particularly hard until I got this watchers and some faster start crafts:

I've completed the Levelling Guide update!

I've simplified the walkthrough and moved the info about passives and gear into their own sections. Also aded some picture guides for the spectres. I think guide is easier to follow now.

If anyone finds any problems/mistakes, let me know via PM so I can fix it!

Flashback is a whole another thing. The amount of mobs and some of the nasty red beast mobs combined with invasion bosses, means that while leveling your minions can get overwhelmed...

definitely need splash and pierce

I am playing this build in Flashback and am lvl 40 so far, and while it's by no means speedy, it works quite well as a patient killing thing while zipping your coffee. And since very few play summoners, items are not hard to get.

I am very curious though on how you setup your keys though? I assume you have a keybind that is shared between 2 skills?
