So this build is absolutely fine with the changes on 3.7?
Are there any changes on gems / links / equipment?
Sorry quite a new player, and try to search out a real good starter Build and this one looks really great

Have been playing around in PoB, turning it into a LL Summoner for more end game survivability.
Seems to be working. Necro based I get similar DPS numbers (~1M DPS / Spectre) for similar jewels/gear. Likely feW more expensive items (Shavs', Vertex) but with 82% elemental resistances, more ES and more high end scaling for more ES.
Will have a look turning it into a guardian next, with all that reservation might make more sense.

Nice. The base build (tree and items) are class agnostic, so it'll transfer to almost anything. You'll lose some spectre DPS and survivability, but it's not game breaking.

It'd be cool if you could post an update later on about how the build is going, especially with a Guardian version.

I will if I do. I will VERY likely start life based necro as league starter though, survivability gain is huge w Guardian but there is quite a 30% dps hit if I keep it Spectre based and moving to a different minion is a different build :)

What are the current thoughts on IC+CWDT? I'm currently thinking:
- remove CWDT+IC completely and keep Victario's charity
- Move Vaal Summon Skeletons & Increased duration into the shield w Phase Run
- Add steelskin in the trigger wand. With not having charges and not having armour, steelskin seems the best. Other option is to have it as a panic button and keep it w phase run and increased duration in the shield.

EDIT: Thinking it through I'll likely add steelskin w phase run and increased duration on the shield. Requires 2 button presses but timing is better together with phase run (which is right before diving in) rather than convocation (which is after diving in) and allows some freedom during bossing.

EDIT 2: Or just run Vaal Grace instead of Steelskin :) #DontGetHit

To be honest, I still think IC wins.

I had a look at the level 20 gem post, (link) and Steelskin seems pretty underwhelming actually. It can only absorb 2209 damage while having a 3 second cooldown.

Now when I consider the new IC:
Base duration = 1s. 20% quality gives +20% duration. Add 20/20 Inc Duration for +74%, so we're at almost 2s.
At level 1: 25%/25% phys/ele reduction.
At level 20: 34%/35% phys/ele reduction.

I like to switch to a crafted Elder shield with level 5 CWDT + 7 IC, so I'm guessing it would give me 28% reduction to both phys and ele.
If I have an AG with Kingmaker, I now get 48% phys and 48% ele damage reduction. (!)

When compared to the old IC which gave 100% phys for 0.6s, it doesn't seems like a massive nerf to me, unless I'm mistaken.

Good pick up. I didn't check the config or what flasks were equipped. Also, Magritte does use quite an expensive Aul amulet, so we can assume that won't be used for a moderately priced build.

I think we could actually drop the spectre DPS all way down to 500k and still be very playable.

It's more of a build concept, though.

Decoy totem was suggested a few weeks ago. The end game bosses ignore it, but for everything else, I think it could be really good.

so i was planning to do the frost sentials build in this league is it still good? like how will minions interact with mobs. but i really wanna try this out. not sure about the packs though i hope minions can hit them too.
