[3.10] Gryph's Volatile Dead Necromancer || Fun, Medium Budget, Tanky, Millions of DPS
is it worth crafting? |
|
"No. It needs to have a third useful mod to be better than martyr. 2x T2 rolls doesn't make it better either :D Even my staff with increased fire damage (which is the worst of the possible useful mods) is only equal to martyr and not worth the investment theoretically. But since i have enough currency i used it like that until i am motivated to craft another one. Última edição por shokilicious em 28 de dez de 2019 11:32:04

" I think it is worth crafting. With this staff, you get an extra link because you have CwC in your staff. I think if you can craft high spell damage at least it would be better than Martyr imo. |

I'm having a hard time following this guide at this point. There's so much stuff in it that I can't tell what's outdated information and what's actually being used in this build. There's so many iterations and gem variations, I have no idea how the fuck you're even use the auras you say you're using because I see no mana reservation reduction because this thing is such a cluttered mess. Your 3.9 "update" info is like four sentences. Why not put the recommended gem links and items under that tab? Like can I please just have a simplified version of what's being used currently? I want to try this build, it looks fun, but this guide is a pain in the ass to follow because I have no idea what information is new. You just threw shit everywhere and mixed it all up with the old information. How do I follow that?

" First of all...my 3.9 update info is a LOT more than 4 sentences. I make use of spoilers to try and keep clutter to a minimum, try clicking on them :P There are many iterations because...well there are many ways to play and gear etc...Flexibility. If I say "do exactly these specific things" then it restricts options. How to explain this.... Basically there are several stages of the build and at any given point gear, gem, and passive options are more or less ideal than at other stages. My characters are not meant to be COPIED but used as reference points. I'm still on a relatively low budget on this build. So you're right, I don't have mana reserve right now because I don't need it to run Aspect of the Spider Herald of Ash Discipline But I'm only really using Aspect of the Spider because I have So it's not worth trying to fit a 50% aura when I have to use aspect for the ES on hit. But when I get the Watcher's Eye, I will drop the boots+Aspect. THEN I'll specc into the aura nodes I need and run Zealotry (or Anger). There are options because there are so many ways to do it right or "good enough" and I like to let people think for themselves and choose what they themselves like; it's what gives this game its depth. Anyways, I'll keep combing through and cleaning it up as I have been doing since I understand stuff changes. I only just got home after 5 days in the hospital so I'd like to actually get some play time in. That said, I am not above answering questions because I know that this build can be a bit hard to grasp. |

" Shit, you're right. I don't use the forums a lot so I totally missed your other spoilers. Sorry about that. I just got overwhelmed trying to follow it but the builds looks fun so I want to try it. Thanks for the help! Mostly just needing help figuring out the gems. Right now, my links are planned out to be: Chest (Attack): Cyclone Cast While Channeling VD/DD (I'll prolly try both, I just love DD) Controlled Destruction Ele Focus Fire Pen Helmet (Auras): -Discipline -Anger -Clairity (lvl 10) -Enlighten Weapon (CWDT1): -CWDT (level 1) -Ball Lightning (Level 1) -Spirit Offering (level 8) -Wave of Conviction (Level 7) -Combustion -Discipline (Unlinked) Boots (CWDT2): -CWDT -Flesh Offering -Bone Offering -Summon Stone Golem Gloves: CWDT3) -CWDT (level 1) -Desecrate (level 1) -Spell Cascade -Purifying Flame (level 11) Does that look okay? I have an unset ring I can use if there's anything I can make more optimal by moving it to a ring. I've never done anything like this before so this is way out of my comfort zone. I appreciate you bein patient with me. I also have an assassin's mark ring, which is why it's absent in my links Última edição por JeroyStillRollin em 28 de dez de 2019 18:08:19

" I wouldn't use Fire Pen with VD unless you're concerned with +resists map mods. You do 100% want Concentrated Effect though. Also, Detonate Dead doesn't get much AOE without spell cascade (which I Don't use on main links). So when you test it, make sure to include it in your links. Clarity level 1 for watcher's eye mod if that's your goal with it for least mana reserved. If you can fit Herald of Ash, that's ideal, you might need a 90% mana multiplier Scold's for that though. The setups look fine to me though. If you have a free socket Flame Dash, Smoke Mine, or something goes a ways. Edit: Do you have 2 disciplines? (1 in weapon, 1 in helm) I feel like the unlinked Disc is supposed to be flame dash. :P Última edição por Gryphenprey em 28 de dez de 2019 18:42:58

It would appear I do have 2 lol. It was supposed to be flame dash 100%. And I wasn't sure how high I'd need Clarity, so I'll leave it at level 1. I did pick up a watchers that gives chance for mana recovery. If I can get a Discipline gives ES on hit watcher's, I'll prolly drop it for an enduring flask. Maybe I'll be able to get a scold's to enable HOA eventually, but I don't think I can fit it yet. Maybe I can find a way to fit in an Aul's with free discipline or Zealotry?
