The ground effect increases the damage taken of the enemy, its not so much to buff your damage, it boosts your minion's damage by debuffing whatever is standing on the consecrated ground.

Its just extra, not needed, my old videos of 3 second a8 conqueror kills were never under any flask effects. Dont feel like you have to drop 10-15ex on one until your min/max'd.

I have some questions, the biggest one is your weird position of Lethal Pride, I don't see why you have it there, you don't have much nodes to influence and only get a few strength points, maybe you hit strength in Grave pact but that isn't worth it, you are better with other jewel instead.

I don't get why you have Whispers of Doom allocated you have a brawn jewel in the witch socket up the three, so you are missing Ravenous Horde that is quite a bit of dmg and Death Attument so you lose 1 spectre that means less power/feeding frenzy charges or the option from Spectres to curse enemies or buff your minions.

Also I will changes to a better ring, the Amethist you have give you light resistance and your chest give quite a lot already, the reduced dmg from reflection is useless to you since you aren't dealing any elemental dmg and your minions don't get the buff, and the strength roll is really low.

You need better flask, Karui, Rot Gut and the Chalice are quite bad options you want a Basalt Flask of Chemister and warding to remove curse and get physical dmg reduction, a Adrenaline Quick Silver Flask for more movement speed, maybe a quartz flask of Heat to remove freez and gain evasion. You get a lot more from this set up.

You don't want to level Clarity, you only want lvl1 and if you have a watcher's eye that benefit from it, if you don't then drop it and run something else, without clarity you can run the rest of the auras you have without problems.

Raise Spectre gem = level 21
Baron helmet gives = +2 to minion gems
Ascendancy = +2

Which makes Spectre gem level 25

If you can't afford the level 21 spectre, you could use I think a level 2 or 3 empower gem. If you're not using Animate Guardian, you could get away with it.

Empower + Spectre + Blood magic + whatever your fourth gem of choice is. Minion Life, Convocation, etc

edit - when I read the Merveil's Retainer thing a week or two back, I must've done nearly a dozen maps with the sea witch mod, no luck finding any of the Retainers. Are they restricted to a certain monster level?

edit - found them, looked like I needed a rare map instead of magic.

If you need dexterity, take agility or alacrity for 1 point for 30dex each... but it looks like you are fine on dex, and what you need is mana reservation.

Do what these guys suggested and remove clarity as you're not running a watcher's eye that gives you extra energy shield by running it. This will fix your mana reserve issue.
