" Yes, one of the best league starter. Easy levelling and good scaling till red maps. With some investments will clear all end game bosses quite easily but just don’t expect getting above 10mil DPS without investing at least 50-100ex (or divines now). |

Was thinking of doing this build or RF Inqui. I know that these two builds are very similar. What are the biggest differences? I know this build is supposed to be much less tanky than RF. Is there a any reason would one pick cold-dot occu over RF inqui? Is cold-dot safer because of freezes, or perhaps more damage?
I did all content in the game with a RF a couple leagues ago, with the typical uber-tank aegis/melding version. Just looking for a reason to choose this over RF again. |

" Both builds are damage overtime and probably the only similarity. Cold dot is just as tanky with Aegis/Melding combo 300k ehp possible with 25mil + shaper dps. Cold Dot has way higher single target damage potential with Vortex/Cold Snap There is no freeze from cold dot. Freeze can only be done with hits not the damage overtime. However, you will be applying chill which slows them down. RF is much faster mapper by default You can make cold dot a much faster mapper with freeze and shatter from my Herald Of Ice modified version. Shak provides only the league starter it's not meant to get you to Uber Bosses, 100% delirious or Wave 30 Simulacrums. I am showing what's possible if you invest into the build, not theory crafted either!! I crafted all this gear myself. There is a lot of us from this post going back 3 years that still use the old version of Shak's cold dot that is Vortex/Cold Snap because let's be honest Wintertide just lacks the single target damage scalability for Uber Bosses and Harder content. @donbrawler been awhile scene ive played cold dot. Was looking at your pob...build still playable in 3.19?..what are its capabilities as far as end game content?
