Hey Athena, I was wondering what is your current DPS with your skills? I have been looking into the physical cleave duelist builds and it seems like they do more damage. One was in my game last night doing 24k dps at level 70. He linked me his gear and only his weapons were decent. I am level 72 and hardly come close to that. I don't have anything 5L yet either.

I do 1100 LA DPS and 6500 frenzy.

What you need to keep in mind is "sheet DPS" is not the same as "actual DPS". Sheet DPS is what's being shown when you mouse over your talent and actual DPS is what your character does. So LA gets fired with 3 projectiles with LMP, they each hit for 1100 DPS + each one of those projectiles chains 2 times to other mobs. So yea do the math :p scales pretty high pretty quick.


Ele cleave is slow painful and daunting. He will never match the clear speed of an LA archer I promise you. Heck with 500 DPS LA Chain you would crush him :p

You need to focus on the important things,
1.build farming speed/efficiency
2.build survivability
3.build effectiveness

A few numbers moused over your gem does not equate to the above. Just because a candy looks tasty doesn't mean it actually is tasty :p

My LA is doing 1500 on sheet at the moment (Faster Attacks, Life On Hit, LMP). Can't wait to get a 5L and add chain. My Burning Arrow 5000 for single target.

He's physical cleave, not elemental. No one in the group could compare to how fast he was clearing everything. I see what you mean about it adding up from each of the projectiles. I just felt he was still doing more DPS anyways and it showed.

Ahhhhh ok, thanks! That makes much more sense. I've never used Chain before, don't even have it, but I'll trade for it really quick and check it out :)

If you love attack speed so much, why pick passive over the extra frenzy charge with merciless bandit?

because 3 frenzy charges for me is MORE then sufficient, I 1 shot white mobs and 2 shots blues, WITHOUT curses, the extra attack speed would be pointless as you are still only hitting things once or twice :P

Now i'm 61 lvl, don't want to leveling again but it's needed...
