[3.12] Radiating Carrion Golems. 90% resistances + 10-20 Mil DPS

I was lucky with my temple corruption for the +1 Shavs, so decided to max out the LL version the best I could instead of switching to CI. With the amount of exalts invested i'm sure I would have been better off with CI version, but wanted to figure out how to add grace/determination to LL. In the end I have:

13 aura's plus avian running
16 million dps per golem * 4 without vaal haste up
6.8k es
14.6k evasion and 29k armour unflasked (25/69 flasked)
90/90/90/60 resists
100% shock/ignite/freeze with 325% aura effect and the helm (only 60 for chill)

I added the divergent clarity/enhance plus the animate guardian stats on the amulet:

Just sharing as I have seen some questions in the thread how to fit the aura's into the LL version. Open to suggestions for DPS improvements if I overlooked anything.


You need grace, and probably elegant hubris for slum Lords.
Also you don't have generosity linked to the divergent dread banner, instead you have it linked to an enhance which is very interesting, but how much impale chance does your golems have with that setup?


I do have the 20/23 grace in the helm which helps hit the 100% shock/ignite immunity with the 325% aura effect. When I tried swapping awakened generosity 5/20 instead of the lvl 4 enhance my impale chance drops to 93% instead of 100%, but it is a slight dps increase. The enhance benefits the phase run also though which i've been enjoying. If i moved back to dash, then the generosity would be probably be better.

I'll have to look into the Elegant hubris for slum lords, which I believe i saw in the CI thread somewhere. I'm guessing I would lose ES going that route, but would be intersting to check out.


Ah my bad I didn't see it. But really wp though, I don't think I've seen another setup with LL that can fit in all those gems without the need to sacrifice any dps auras.

Sorry to just tack on a post question without thoroughly reading all of the other replies. I'm sure there are good answers to this already somewhere in the thread. Still, I'm not familiar enough with the game to recognize applicable recommendations to me in other posts.

If anyone can help, I'm trying to push this build as best I can. I swapped from selfcast arc necromancer to this build. I had saved up 30ex and about 1500c and was able to do a swap pretty easily if inefficiently. I'm using 3 spectres (two host, one carnage)

Still, I'm dying to Awakener 8 Sirus's selfcast laser in one shot with nearly 90 to all resistances and over 7k ES. I think the rotating quad laser thing does crazy damage amp, but it has been hard to dodge everything while using Shield Charge.

I've recoved about 12ex and another 500c and want to invest in the build further but most of the things I can see are still out of my reach (awakened gems, highend crafts, etc).

I think my character is public if anyone can help, but I'll post a POB link as well. Thank you!

I have the cheapest most credible advice for your A8 Sirus fight. Remove shield charge+fortify. Add just a flame-dash gem. You can zoom-zoom around sirus fight wihtout taking damage from beams. Also you can leap on ledges. Be close to Sirus , if possible, and when he is about to do his laser/beam attack, flame dash to the left/right to avoid it. I too ,if I get caught in his laser beam without potions that remove freeze, get stack there unable to move and usually die. I have only full tank it with my juggenaut but not always, sometimes it kills me. But juggernaut is immune to everything with 80% fire/light/ice/chaos and 90% phys and fortify and reduced elemental damage...
By the way you need to add an animated guardian on your minions if you dont have one already.

i have a question ,, i see the pob total dps is 4.1m ... how come the treat is write 10m-20m ? is that 4.1m is each golem ?

Could someone plz check my Character in Heist league ??? dont get it why i cant hit the 200% aura effect if i see correctly i get only 193%

EDIT: NVM im even at 205% made somewhere a calc error >.<

Minmaxers have gotten up to 80 Mil with perfect setups but there is nothing in the game that requires this


Anybody know what should I look for when minmax to get to that point above (80m dps)?

I've already replicated the base build and wanted to go further.

You need the alternative auras because they give a secondary line that buffs damage of nearby allies when an x prerequiste is happening, like "on full life" or "on full mana" etc.
Ah also you need on your second minion cluster jewel also to have Rotten Claws. This way yo uhave 100% impale effect.

Animate Guardian is a huge boost with proper equips:
Kingmaker axe gives culling strike, crits and some other crap.
Boots give speed.
Gloves vulnerability curse on hit or something you prefer.
Helmet +9% physical damage taken for enemies nearby.

By the way, you have the carriow golem 40% dmaage enchant.. what seems to be bothering you with damage?Anyway I would start like this:
1)Reroll your minion cluster jewel to also have rotten claws
2)Build a guardian with:
a)Leer cast mask -->helmet with 9% physical damage
b)some weid unique boots with speed
c) belly of the beast --> flat life/ % life/chaos res%
d)southbound gloves --> rare glives with life and vulne on hit maybe
e)some weird unique staff that gives damage --->kingmaker axe
3)21/20% carrion golem gem
4)awakened support gems

First off, thanks for putting time and effort! I appreciate it!

tbh I'm not lacking damage or hitting a wall.

I just want to see the extent of the build. I will try out your suggestions.

I do have some questions though.

a.)Is getting a 2nd rotten claws an overall dps increase than Vicious Bite?

b.) On the guide, it's favoring the normal ones rather than alt gem auras for better coverage except for Divergent Purity of Ice. Are the alts better than the normal ones?

c.) Just for my peace of mind and I think my hunch is correct but I'm gonna ask anyway. Will implicits/mods (minion damage, minion life, etc) work if you equip the gear on the AG?

d.) If I'm going for another aura, what should I target next?

e.) I've seen Watcher's Eye have 2 lines of Physical Damage from hits taken as element damage when affected by aura. Will that be better than 1 line? If so, will two lines of the same element be better than opposite ones?
a)I dont know really, I ve seen other people strongly suggesting to have 100% chance for impale.
b)Normal Purities are ok, the other alternative auras is that give extra damage like clarity which has Ithink extra damage or more damage on full mana and vitality on full life.
c)I dont think they work.On your animate guardian you need items that will make him not die (defences like : flat life, %life, resistances) and buff your overrall dps output (aka boots that buff the speed of all allies, staff/axe that buf the damage, helmet that makes nearby enemies take 9% increased physical damage etc.)
d)for damage , alternative eveything. Now if you want defences like 90% physical and epic evasion we are talking about another build.
e)Yes a watchers eye with double physical taken as some element synergises with your shield also: so 10% +10% from eye +8% from shield + 10% from minions thats at least 38% physical damage somehow mitigited. I am sure though poe doesnt calculate like this.
