You should watch this video. His recommendation is to run Flameslinger while you earn money to buy the gear you need for BA.
Flameslinger can get to 6-7m dps with investment.

We get a buff per summoned golem. You are right tho, that the buffs from each golem don't stack.

In the 3.14 PoB, OP took the whole life wheel at the bottom. Do you think its worth sacrificing the 6 of the small life nodes to get Arcane Guarding for some spell block?
My spell block now is about 7%. Taking Arcane guarding would bring it up to 19% and I also gain some ES from shield and spell damage.
I do lose about 600 life tho.
