ngl I upgraded from 5l Ivory to 6l Shavs(And obviously whacked on a load of auras) and that's resolved pretty much every issue I've had with this builds survivability in the late game

Don't try and make Ivory work in t16's imo, just upgrade to shavs and whack on more auras and save yourself the hassle

I have made it work on T16 on juiced maps, but I die enough that I can't level up unless I delve / do heist.

** I checked my PoB with Shavs and my ES goes from 7770 to 5400. I really wonder if / how that works. Isnt 5400 too low life? There are plenty occasions that goes fairly low on my runs. What kind of auras did you mess with?

T15-16 juiced special events usually kill me, like archnemesis 3rd-4rth slot, empowered harb, duplicated essence mobs, altars, something ends up wrecking me often enough that leveling is painful.

Question: why those flasks? Frost and fire that is, dont you have capped resistances without them? and how does it work, you notice when there's incoming frost / fire dmg and you press?

Do you use leech from Ghost Reaver with this?

Having a lot of difficulty with conquerors. I did bite the dust vs the redeemer and the poison guy. For some reason they had high elemental resistance so i did little dmg and I died so easily, when i dont usually do so.

Any tips ? Run the maps white?

Does anyone have pob / recommend for LL with shavronne's wrappings ?

I have 8.3k ES with Shavs on. I can get a little bit melted by the EoW machine gun adds but I'm noticing loads of people are having that problem.
Not sure about the pob tooltips but I haven't been hurting for DPS.

Might stick on a banner as I think I have enough mana for that, which will replace second wind. (Edit: actually I moved empower to my helmet to empower vitality, PoL and HoT. No longer enough mana unreserved for this.)

The reason for the flasks are that I have no max res for fire and ice whereas I run purity of lightning to reach 82%(Edit: with empowered PoL I have 83 max res). The flasks provide 20% LESS damage taken from that element which means at 75% res it's the equivalent of being at 80% resistance. The flasks are enchanted with "Use when charges reach full". I don't manually activate any of my flasks. Combined with the mod to gain charges on hit, I get extremely high up time with them.
Current gear I sit at 45% chaos res so I do rely on that to cap me.

I'm in no way saying that what I have is perfect or you should switch up your build to be similar to mine but this is what is working for me and that the only things that is killing me are standard stuff like standing still in the middle of a harbinger bosses.

Auras I have: Vit, PoL, Det, Wrath, Disc, HoT, TS, Clarity
PoL was chosen because of my watchers eye which converts 6% phys damage to lightning damage

I haven't struggled with any of the shaper/elder/conq minibosses other than the minotaur one. I have to be very careful with him otherwise he melts me. The others are mostly facetank unless they're on a really hard map.

For extra defense as you can see I simply don't have the mana to benefit from arcane cloak. I use self-cast steelskin instead which gives me about 2.2k shielding. If you're running determination aura you shouldn't need any additional strength for a level 20 steelskin but level 21 requires more than determination so keep that in mind.


Also for 1 point (since if you're following the build then thread of hope is set up) you can get a 2nd golem providing more cast speed (or phys reduction from chaos golemif you are struggling with that).
I put my golem in my wand so they get auto cast so it doesn't matter if they get killed by bosses.

I took the Light Eater nodes. One extra point, but it lets me benefit from occultists 10% regen + zealots oath and vitality. I'm not currently not sold on the benefit of the leech with this much regen however. I might take the nodes off and see if there's a better use of 3 points.

I just changed to my LL max block version combined with the old vortex build skill tree.
Can tank almost all bosses ( haven't tried Sirius yet ).
About 5M dmg now but can be better but still tanky if invest more

I'm thinking about the crit version. But I don't think occultist could have enough crit chance
