Build has been going really smoothly so far (although I'm not too far in and am really waiting for console launch for POE Sofa gaming!).
Awesome, Wozmon!

I'm glad it's going smoothly for you :). I can't wait for console either. It's going to be so fun with this new setup!

Hey there ! Nice guide, really friendly and smooth.

I was looking for something different from my usual melee builds and something chill, and its a pleasure to walk around monsters and let my zombies bodyguards bonk everything around me.

I was wondering if specters were mandatory, as your build is kinda versatile and customizable ?
I was planning on spamming Skeletons with maim and feeding frenzy instead, but I do know that specters are powerful and most time too useful to dodge, but I dunno why but I can't suffer this skill gem.

Any thoughts are welcome, as a newbie summoner I beg your help :D

Have fun and good league !

Think of Wrecker's build as a baseline for something you can make your own.

In the Ultimatum league I played this build with a Femurs of the Saints and used Vaal Summon Skeleton as often as I could. During ultimatums it would typically reset before the skeletons expired. And the huge number of skeletons was a big boost to my block percent.

You might want to try alternating between the standard version of the build and your mods to it so you can see if it's working better for you.

I'm going to try this out. I've played poe a bit but I don't understand anything. After reading your guide this seems like something I might be able to wrap my head around. I also like to play SSF since I can't figure out how the trading in the game works. My goal is to find a decent build just to get to know the game and how it works.

I've looked through some other builds this league and I did one earlier that didn't work out for me. A lot of guides assume you know the game, which is fine, but the game easily becomes overwhelming for someone like myself.

My only concern right now is the passive tree but like you said it apparently doesn't matter too much which direction I go as I level? I'll follow your build and see if I can get a feel for it.

Hey, Gameszel!

I'm glad you like the guide and the build :). In terms of Spectres, they aren't mandatory at all but they provide BIG bonsuses. For example, two of my spectres give Frenzy and Power charges to my minions. Together, that almost doubles my damage. But you can use skeletons in there instead if you like. It's no problem at all.

One thing to keep in mind is that your spectres won't die. While levelling of course they will. So I don't bother raising any spectres (but I do level the gem) until I find my zombies aren't dying at all. When they aren't dying, then I bring spectres into the campaign.

Also, GGG changed Desecrate this league. Now, if your spectres die, your Desecrate gem knows what your spectres were and you won't have to go back and find them. You can spawn their corpses where you are.

Hey, hulduet!

Make sure you ask any questions you like, ok? You're not alone. This game can get very overwhelming for many, experienced and new players alike.

In regards to the tree, just "hug the right". Take all the nodes as they come. It'll be a good balance of your survivability, your minions' survivability, and your minions' damage. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to run all of your auras until you get to the Sovereignty cluster on the tree. That's ok.

If you like how this build plays, it'll fulfill your goal of taking you through the game to experience all sorts of end-game content. But please, ask what you like, ok?

Thanks for your replies both of you !

I know that Specters are strong and its why I didn't try summoner sooner, the changes to Desecrate might help me overcome my unlove for specters, maybe if I need more firepower in maps or bosses, but for now, I'll try without, hoping it might just slow me down a bit and not leave me too weak.

Thanks again ♥

(Your filters are nice btw !)

I am relatively new to the whole endgame thing, never bothered with Atlas because it just seemed so dull. Now with the rework I like the idea of being able to do whatever and even specialize in what mechanics I like. That said, is there a secret to be able to not just get killed instantly by certain things or is it really just pray and hope the game doesn't lag too hard?
