We can't do damage with skills(frenzy, flame surge and brand) because of ancestral bond but we need to do at least a 1 damage ignite with a skill linked to combustion for it to work. From my testing it does work with the brand + flame surge + combustion. At least there is no noticeable difference from when using traps. So either it works, or using trap + combustion is just pointless. Hehe. But going by POB and my own general feeling, it seems to work. It's good enough for me if you don't notice a difference. I really need that gemslot for enduring cry. Now I can swap out lightning trap without worrying about it.
