On Natt thread, someone confirmed that you can only maintain double totems with the Tuko shield if you have increased duration gem for the TV but it is still difficult to have 6-8 totems at the same time, so yeah, the shield is not worth it unless someone figure out the exact math.

Got smashed by Hydra w/o any damage mods (got oneshotted and other kind of bs)

So basically this build can be done with 1ex budget ? I started this league pretty late so i'm still struggling with my currency. I just want to be sure that i can change into this build with all the currency i've got now. Also i see everyone build this build as a boss killer, not a farming machine. I'm wonder how would a set of mf gears looks like xD
Also can you explain the section in the guide about afford a 5-6L vis again ? I don't understand what do u mean there.

I started my summoner with wisdom scrolls and transmutes to get the +1 fire wands. So yeah, I'm pretty sure this build can be done with 1ex starting budget.

In addition, it always confuse me every time I saw a streamer saying "do EK or KB to farm fast" when whenever I saw them playing the first thing that came to my mind is "why's this guy killing stuff so slow" when I play summoners. This (matt's) build is about as fast as speed farming can go that's not some 150ex+ VPS HH build.

PS: I forgot to mention this, though this is unrelated to this post. Be careful to people who's planning on using Cannibal Fire-eater for general farming, since they have auto attack listed as one of their abilities, they will refuse to cast their flame-totem-like skill on certain fights/bosses, eg. Sunken City, etc. It's one of the reason why I'm sticking to Solar Guards for everything this league.

loving this build, however it seems i cant use Shield charge for some reason.
It is equiped and i do have enough strenght for it, but the skill is greyed out.

Any ideas what could cause this?

I'm farming shaper and guardians with vis mortis 5 link (no controlled destruction) and other piece are extremely cheap.

Vis 5l (40c?), scourge (60c), other piece with some life and resistances, some new jewels with minion cast speed and increase damage when use minion skill.

i think with 3ex you can buy all the gear/jewels.
