Waypoints locations
I doubt at this stage any big changes will be made however I thought I would throw this out there anyway.
As a casual player I like to play around 1-2 hours at a time. Starting in Act 2 I noticed that the location of waypoints seems to be very random. Especially within dungeons, rather then be at beginning so it would make a good stopping point it is a hunt and search routine to find if there is one there at all. How about if a dungeon or zone has a waypoint you move it to the entrance point? Fight censorship

Hi. I agree. Waypoints in PoE are a disaster. You'll loose players and players over bad location of waypoints. The most annoying thing is: I can't find them! More precisely: I can't find them easily. Waypoints are there, but far, far away from any point of interest. So when my toon dies, I have to travel from the far away instance I was lucky enough to locate the god damn waypoint, behind the mountains and hills and beyond the seven seas. Besides, why can't my toon be re-born at the waypoint at the instance it died at? Why so mysterious about waypoints? D2 waypoints were easier to find . . . And D2 is archaic history. Please do something about dying or waypoints. Cheers :)
EDIT: Oh, yes, at the waypoint map, the one accessible via pressing key U on keyboard, waypoints are shown with WRONG location names!!!! For instance, sewers beneath Warehouses have a waypoint, which is being shown on map as if located at Warehouses... And it's actually located at Sewers... So GGG is making idiots of our brains here :D I wasted hours probably trying to find damn waypoints, because I tend to tag all waypoints around, because I die a lot, so I really can use waypoints. My build is experimental... Cheers :D Última edição por schtruklyn#5540 em 6 de fev. de 2013 04:51:28

Solaris temple level 2 alone is a fucking nightmare. I don't think I've ever found the waypoint there.

This is true and as a casual player myself also support this ... but i think the hard-core players whould like this
I remember on diablo 2 was the same issue and i was irrated alot and i was a hard-core player then |

Well, most of them are easy waypoints like Prisoner's Gate, Church Dungeon and Crossroads. Some are easy enough, like Broken Bridge.
Btw. the waypoint in Solaris Temple is in Level 3, because you'll need it there. But yes, there are some that you merely stumble upon by accident or if you clear the whole level (Lunaris Temple 2, Chamber of Sins, etc.), which can get very annoying or downright frustrating when the level is hard. - Cazy |

" it's right next to the gemlin queen which i find too easy, i fought my way through solaris only in normal, in cruel and mercyless i used the actual party's waypoint and solved the quest without any further fighting. i suggest moving the waypoint in solaris lvl3 into the actual level so players have to fight a little again when bringing her the ribbon spill quest item. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

I agree, the waypoint system needs to be looked at. It is not casual player friendly.

All instances should have easily accessible waypoints. Cheers :D

I am a casual player too. (Only because I get wife agro) So I play as much as I can when I can which usually amounts to a big session on Saturday 4-8 hours and maybe 1-2 hours total from Monday to Friday. Better placed waypoints would greatly improve my personal experience. I sometimes want to logon for 15 or 30 minutes and just grind something out quick, or enter a new zone and find the waypoint so I have access to it later. Its challenging to do that with only 15 minutes.
