Waypoints locations

+1 for this. I sometimes find myself running through location (and dying) just to find a damn waypoint when I don't have time. I don't think that's fun at all to search for it. Especially in act III where areas are huge.

Or You can add fast travel to instances if you'd been there before.
I think that would be better since having waypoint in the middle of location can be usefull.

I already hate static wps which PoE has them all as majority. Getting lost and searching for an exit is fun, yet randomization of entrances and exits are already too static; so are for wps as well.

Making it even more static would damage PoE horribly, needless to say.

I am a casual player.

I think waypoints are fine.

I have had no issues with this in any way.

As for dieing before finding the waypoint, drop a portal scroll at the entrance. Portal scrolls are in abundance and there for a reason.

Additionally, if you cannot run through a zone and click a waypoint without dieing...seriously consider what you did wrong with your build now because you will probably have to reroll at a later time for lack of survivability.

tl;dr -9000 for trying to change an interesting part of the game.
Just use a town portal scroll when entering a new instance, like everyone else does. They drop frequently and you can easily trade 3 Scrolls of Wisdom for them at any vendor as well. Scrolls of Wisdom drop even more frequently.

I'm a casual player and I'm happy with the waypoint system too. Makes the game a little more interesting when you have to do a bit of exploring. My only minor complaint is when I enter a dungeon and don't know what floor the waypoint's on. It would be nice if there was a little note for the dungeon waypoints like the one for the sewers.
The important waypoints are along the path you need to take, most of the rest are found 9/10 times just finding the exit.

Feel free to rush to the more reliable ones like Dark Forest, Crossroads etc.

Alira and Oak are the only ones that seem to take some finding on occasion.

Not having them all in static locations helps stop the game from being totally linear.

I agree; you can't see if an area on the world-map-thingy has a waypoint until you get there, but you can't see the icon for "This area has a waypoint you have not discovered yet" until you move to a different area because the icon for "You are here." covers it up. The only exception to this is Warehouse Sewers, which clearly labels itself as "The waypoint is underground."
I'm fond of randomized location waypoints, but it'd be nice if there was at least a little bit of directionality that roughly points "Last area is in "this" direction", which would give the player a bit more bearing without instantly pointing out which way they have to go to proceed forward.
EDIT: I am retarded, the icon was there all along, simply to the right of the area name.

Actually this won't be of help for those that have to spend 8-15 minutes away from the PC for some reason. Still though, I don't think the game should cater such people because they're definitely (My opinion) not going to be the majority of people playing this game.

As some other said, I like the randomness of the waypoints. To me finding them is a side challenge. I time myself for many reasons, including finding the waypoint.

I look at it as this: waypoint's are not a necessity, but a luxury to have. You have to work more for the finer things in life!!
