There is nothing wrong with getting like 200-300 points a season and only playing solo races, but if everyone could get top tier rewards on 4 hours a day, what incentive would that give the hard core players to participate in race after race?

If you make everyone a winner, no one wins.

You do realize that no one in this race got the top point bracket for level right?

If you would be able to got to the top point bracket it would take you 100 races without winning to get the top point reward, if we assume 90 minutes a race that's 150 hours which is almost 4 full work weeks across a 6 weeks season.

It's not about making everyone a winner, it's about being able to realistically obtain the reward if you sacrifice enough time to do all the races in your own time zone while still performing well in each and every one of those races.

Just to give you an idea, if a player in my time zone participates in every race after 4pm on week days and 12pm on sat/sun he would only have 70 races to get points from, if that player finishes in the top bracket for points in every race (something no one in this race did) he would still only have 700 points unless he wins. So either he wins 30 of them or places at worst third in 60 out of those 70 (assuming top level bracket is even obtainable, again not done in this race).

Until race events have multiple starts over the day where you can participate in how many you like but only the best score counts towards the overall ladder this will be a competition about who has the most time to waste instead of who's actually best.

Not gonna give my opinion on who should get what etc. (btw pretty much every reward except the last can be traded for a few chaos, so much for value of time invested into racing, and barelly anyone gives a crap about alternative art really, it adds almost no value). But yes, you must be delusional if you think "just" 4h a day or getting something like 200 points is something trivial. Four hours a day of gaming is waaaay into the higher part of the curve mate.

A lot of people has too much free time this days apparently. And GGG should start to think about these things, because the people who are going to support their product on average are not jobless ones who can grind for hundreds a month to achieve any freaking thing in this game.
