Watching streams crashes the game. Unable to deserialize packet with pid:228 (Again)
POE Crashes for me again with the: Unable to deserialize packet with pid:228 (+ other numbers). For some reason this error suddenly occured extremely frequent, but i managed to isolate the problem (finally). The problem is - Watching twitch streams while attempting to log in and play POE causes the game to crash due to not being able to "deserialise" packets.
YES... I do have wireless. (Someone told me this is a common error with wireless!) But it makes no sense why streaming causes POE to be unable to "deserialize pid:xxx" whatever that means. Because: 1) I can listen to youtube videos without it causing crashes 2) Any other game works JUST FINE WITH WIRELESS even if I am streaming I therefore suspect that there is something wrong on your side GGG. Because other games work fine on my wireless while streaming, POE is the exception. Please... if you have any info that can help :( Edit: More info. For some reason this error can also occur if I have played many many hours, even if I dont stream. But restarting my PC fixes it then. Streaming seems to crash POE almost with 100 certainty. Could this be a problem with my IP? Again: My wireless does not have any malfunction, I play Dota 2 and other online games (while also downloading files, streaming and wathcing youtube) without any problems. These crashes only happens with path of exile. Última edição por Ouroboros226#5831 em 24 de out. de 2013 00:51:56 Último bump em 31 de mar. de 2016 17:00:40

My possible fix |

" Ill try those on that list that I havent tried already :) Btw it happens very rarely if Im not watching streams, but if Im watching streams it happens all the time. Like I said, its weird because in other games I can watch streams without it causing trouble. Only happens with POE. |

" It seems to be due to the wireless bandwidth you have. Also keep in mind that "other games" don't decode packets the same way that PoE does. PoE requires specific packets in specific places to be able to decode properly. If there is any interruption or transmission error, it can cause this problem. It doesn't usually happen on a wired connection because the signal quality is usually great across the wire, in addition to the bandwidth. Wireless in comparison can have VERY spotty signal and reduced bandwidth due to noise and other problems with wireless technologies. Good luck. |

" Thanks for the reply. I just lost my lvl39 Scion due to crashing again. Was hoping (wrongfully) that I could watch kripps stream on lowest quality this time while playing. I died while crashing during soning into a new area. Guess I have no choice but to quit POE. I dont understand why they cant send packages differently or try to resend if noise instead of the game crashing... |
