Watching streams crashes the game. Unable to deserialize packet with pid:228 (Again)

Found that uTorrent was set for an unlimited upload speed. And the speed was 1,6mb/s Decreased to 100kb/s max. Seems to fix the problem for now. Well, it should really help, if the packet loss was in the packets i send to them.

I have this same issue. I can't stream a youtube video and play PoE at the same time, the game freezes every time. Not my computer, just the game.

I can play ANY OTHER game and listen to youtube videos in the background no problem. It's an issue related specifically to PoE. I'm on a wired, fast internet connection. It's nothing on my side, I am 100% certain of that.

I can listen to pandora just fine, though.


My laymen guess would be something to do with the flash or whatever youtube is employing conflicting with whatever PoE uses.

EDIT:

So. I realize what the issue is and it is indeed on my end. I had been told to set -softwaresound to my PoE launch options a few days ago to help with performance issues. I had forgotten about it until now, reverting that change has solved PoE freezing while, you guessed it, streaming youtube in the background.

Hopefully that helps somebody.
