well, then i guess this will FUC* up the most OP builds arround here... this means, if you want to cast a curse lvl 10 your codt will have to be a higher lvl, so you take more dmg and can cast less curses.

I think you read it wrong. It's the level requirement and not the gem level.

CwDT lvl 1 requires you to have lvl 31. So all linked gems would have to require player lvl 31 or less - at least that's how I read it.

I think so. The build mainly uses a high crit chance of daggers to spam EK - which also have a high crit chance then.

obviously, instead of doing multiple knives per 440damage taken
you now need to take 2400+ damage to shoot them. builds nerfed to shit.

U obviously need to be higher level than the equipped gem. That is since day 1...

You missunderstand.

Your toon is lvl 70

CwDT on lvl 1 requires toon lvl 31

MOlten Shell lvl 7 requires toon lvl 28

This means, as lvl 70 toon you can equip CwDT at lvl 1. Since the molten shell lvl 7 requires toon lvl 28 it is still less than the toon lvl required by lvl 1 CwDT.

So, you can still use Molten Shell lvl 7 with a CwDT lvl 1

Oh, ok, i get what u mean. Could be a possibility, but i feel the 1st scenario is more likely to happen.

that seems to be the consens on how CwDT works after patch... based on required level

That was predictable ...

will this build still possible to play with the nerf of CoDT?

build is still possible, just get enough mana regen, so u can sustain cyclone.

replace mana leech gem with life leech + get vaal pact.

6L = cyclone + life leech + cast on crit + 3x ek.

still u can use endurance cry + molten shell + immortal call.. but lower level.

the caodt + ek wont work anymore on lv1. u can still level it, u will ton of damage but the cast time is alot lower now.
