Necro's pure righteous fire build HC, 90% phy dmg reduction, cheap! (5 seconds piety vid) lvl89

Just got this sweet :)


With a level 20 pof linked with empower in a +1 to gems weapon we need 8.35% life regeneration. Now we can get rid of vitality or respec the life regeneration nodes. If we don't use vitality and get one passive with 4% reduced mana reservation we can run 2 x 60% auras and 1 x 40% aura without Alpha's howl.

BTW I made a post sometime ago about being able to run 1 x 60% and 3 x 40% auras that was not correct because reduced mana doesn't get the +level from empower

Totally did a respec overhaul to match yours now. I'm liking it a lot more definitely. Survivability increases by a lot. 4.5k with greed gears and 5.2k with armor/hp gears.

Really pushing to 85 to get my armor up there like yours. Surprisingly in terms of damage though, speccing out of Immolation and Growth & Decay branch didn't seem to sacrifice damage whatsoever. Dunno what's up with that.

Anyways, I'll be keeping an eye on this thread from time to time incase you've done something crazy good!

With regards to damage passives maybe you don't notice that much dps loss because you get more life which also increases your dps.

There is something else I will test in terms of survibability and it's getting the block nodes instead of armour but I want to level up a little before doing that as I don't want to respec life or endurance charges nodes and need purity of fire to be level 20

Block build: Level 88

This build got 60% block with rise of the phoenix and a potential 52% spell block with stone of lazwhar and rainbowstride but would lose the life from amulet and boots. It can sustain RF without the regeneration nodes from duelist and I expect that the added energy shield from rainbowstride would be no problem for the regeneration.

Most probably we can also squeeze tempest shield in there with the reduced mana reservation nodes for an extra 4% block, it's a shame this aura doesn't benefit from aura nodes buffs in terms of block chance meh

I run a similar build, but with a melee twist to sustain health on things that don't melt in 2 seconds, and to kill inanimate things like totems. I just have 1 question, what do you think would be better for snap shotting my righteous fire?

definetly cast RF with dual readbeks. Check the guide in the first post on how to do this because you need to be on low life at the moment of casting.

I haven't read through all 19 pages of this thread yet so I'm sorry if this has been covered.

Have you thought about using curse on hit? Something like...



Cast on damage taken (lvl 1) + Ice Nova (lvl 1) + Curse on hit (lvl 20) + Elemental Weakness(lvl 20) ?

This would proc EE and curse them for a total of 98% minus resists automatically.


Seems to me that it would make life even easier. That being said, currently lvl 30 working towards trying this build out for myself. Cheers!

I mentioned curse on hit option a few days back but I didn't use it because it needs three blue sockets which I really couldn't be bothered to get as I was already trying RBBBx on the armour for RF.

Recently I got carcass jack for casting RF and got the RBBBx on my chest :) and now I'm using curse on hit with ice nova but I'm not completely sure about it. Curse aoe and cast speed is way better than ice nova and for soloing maps dual debuff is not needed in 95% of the cases because enemies die before the second debuff can be applied so I might even go back to just curse and nova rares/bosses.
