Hmm...what happened to Chris' statement in a big October video interview that microtransactions would include gender change options?
Why do I as a female have only 2 avatar choices that are female, and 4 that are male? Seems kinda unfair to me.
:-( I mean, I'll still be playing, but it is quite disappointing.
do you have any clue how much it would cost em to do that?
Any clue?
that's why it would be a microtransaction, jackass.
no need to call him a jackass... but it takes quite a bit to change the look and also all the sounds, not to mention how corny it would be if the story was exactly the same for for instance female templar. we're talking several thousand(maybe even as much as 15k) dollar per char they'd do, that's not micro, that's macro...

I'm so glad I finally got to read the patch notes but damn the Lightning Arrow nerf seems way too steep

I'm also in agreement that the single use effects/skins on items is lame. If I want to be 'the shadow with glowing daggers.' I want to be said character from start to finish. This just discourages me from purchasing the effect until I'm potentially at (feasible) max level in the best possible gear. Except...
One of the draws of the game is that you can find a better weapon at any given moment. We shouldn't have to decide between saving a buck keeping an effect we paid for vs equipping better gear. That's insane. Not what I had in mind at all. If you absolutely have it this way at least give us the option to have a permanent effect.
I'm also a bit uneasy on dancing animations. We'll see how it plays out. I hope I don't have to witness dancing characters every time I go into town though.
All the raging aside, I'm still in full support mode and I'm excited for all the changes. I will play the hell out of this patch hands down. I appreciate all the hard work and love you put into the game. It really is my favorite game to this day.

Agreed. I found the way they implemented this to be a tad... weird.

I totally agree with the second post, you should remove "pay to remove cosmetics".
I wouldn`t mind paying for some awesome new looks but seriously on lower levels you switch items so often that you need to waste tons of money on it...
My suggestion is make the effect cosmetics more expensive then, if you need the money so bad...

Damn, was really hoping that the dual wield 2h weapons passive would make it.
"'What is this thing, anyway?' said the Dean, inspecting the implement in his hands.
'It's called a shovel', said the Senior Wrangler. 'I've seen the gardeners use them. You stick the sharp end in the ground. Then it gets a bit technical.'" -Terry Pratchett, Reaper Man

Added a new Keystone Passive - Zealot's Oath: Life regeneration applies to energy shield instead of life.
Does this work with healing flasks as well?

You can reclaim effects (putting them back in your microtransaction stash) using the purchasable "Recover Cosmetic Effect" item which is also stored in your microtransaction stash.
If you want to destroy all of the cosmetic effects on an item for free without getting them back, place it on the cursor and type "/destroy_cosmetic_effects". Be very careful with this, we can't replace any purchases that are accidentally destroyed.
Or I might be getting this wrong and the recover is single use :/
But it doesn't really say anywhere that you can't use it twice, and the effects would have to be account bound any way.
