Note the "often".

Great weapon until lvl17 then couldn't get anything decent until I reached 22 (found like 10 etched greatsword though).
I was really lucky to find faster projectiles at lvl12 which makes it much safer (yeah it's good o.O !)
Almost reached 24 and finished 10th (best ranking I ever got I guess the lack of competition really helped =) )
