The 5 point investment equates to a large chunk of health and I was never able to justify that. You can take it from dps nodes but I never felt the need to have spell dodge. For a HC league starting it is definitely an option and will be immensely useful for physical spells.

Spell dodge is not that useful as the vast majority of spells can and should be physically dodged by moving away. I.E 76 boss, 77 boss. Getting hit by double piety lightning storm on a -max shrine is death either ways.

Ugh, I love solo play so I was hoping this build would work for me but I almost find my DPS too low. Let me know what you think, maybe I need to regem or respec? Keep in mind this is for a Ranger.





What would you change? I can't seem to find a high dmg neck on Dom. Should I change my ring for a IAS and more ele damages?

What would you change? I can't seem to find a high dmg neck on Dom. Should I change my ring for a IAS and more ele damages?

Your gear is pretty insane and you should be doing at least 6500 LA dps with that setup. What is your dps currently and what auras do you run?

The taming gives very little dps but finding a good ele ring on dom, i imagine, is a huge feat. Your amulet is really sub par. Aim for either 30 wed + 60 crit dam or 2-60 light damage + 60 crit dam. 23 crit chance is very little dps and gain with 5% base crit.
Your coral ring, quiver, boots are very solid. Your belt could use a slight upgrade as the physical dmg does nothing for your dps.

In terms of dps affix optimization 70 crit dam > 7-72 light > 36 wed > 25-45 fire > 22-40 cold > 400 acc > 37 crit chance > 10 ias > 7 ias > 9-15 physical > 12% lightning damage.

You opted not to take US/IR or ondars/Acro, i dont know if thats the complete version of your build.

You may find this tree a bit more helpful as it was based around a marauder which is going to be almost identical for ranger minus some starting nodes however id really need to know what auras youre currently running first before I could say it would be an upgrade:

I'm less than 3k LA damage, not kidding (with Auras only).

Silly question here, but did you take any reduced mana for skills nodes? I ask because I can't quite figure out how to make the math work for your critical weakness. With 20/20 reduced mana and all the nodes, I get the cost to 19 mana, but end up with 17/18 mana left no matter how the math works out.

Just wondering if I missed something along the way.

edit: to clarify, this is 5 aura with alpha.
