would love to know (and a lot of user users too) if:
with 1.1.0 the new season begins, so at the beginning of march
and if with 1.1.0 the new act aka expansion will be released.

The new 4 month leagues will start with 1.1.0, yes. It's called an expansion because there will be a lot of content coming with it. However, no act 4... That's not until late this year, possibly even early 2015..

The past summoning skill gems have been a bit underwhelming. Summon guardian and animate weapon are very lackluster. Why should we be excited about new summoning skills?

i thought act 4 will come, but i read now the last post of chris where he says it wont come with 1.1.0

thats okay, hope 1.1.0 will bring anyway cool new stuff so the new league will be interesting.

P:S: if its a snapshotting nerf that AWESOME fix for a broken mechanic lolz.
Even low lvl summoner is crazy powerful with minion life + minion dmg + fire + Mana Regain + Minion Instability with Skellys manual summon,

Why would using Cast on Death summoning Zombies considered as Snapshotting? You can always leave the Cast on Death in the socket without taking it out even after summoning.
