*** [2.0] Gellig Mortezzah's level 100 Aegis End-Game Melee Life Boss Tank ***

Considering I have not been able to get my hands on a good weapon that will allow me to use reave :( but I do have a mirrored Sige Axe, I am stuck with the dual strike option.

But what do you recommend as the links for it?

DS + Added fire + Multi + Melee Phys?

or?

Yes, though your AOE won't be great (a bit from MS)... and of course diluting it with Melee Splash will hurt your single target. Still, once you get tanky enough, most of AOE doesn't matter (and will be beneficial to you, generally speaking). Flask management can sometimes be interesting with less AOE.

can you make a build for using soul taker?
what do you think about infernal blow for your build if using soul taker??

Basically, it is identical, just don't use Whirling Blades and don't take the "Sword and Life" nodes (instead you could take Born to Fight and another, or Strong Arm). I didn't like some of the reflect and corpse issues with Infernal Blow -- but test it in some maps and see how you like it. I came to the conclusion that DS was best for Soul Taker.

Hi !

First of all this is an awesome guide imho.

I just got back into the game after a half year break up or so.

I have one question for you, me (31 lvl Marauder) and my friend (31 lvl Ranger) always wanted to play together from the start - so the idea was - I'm "unkillable" tank and he's our dps.

We had fun playing for some time but then we stopped playing because of my ISP issues.

The question is - do you recommend your build for my role in our little party? I mean, you wrote that this build is expensive and you use legacy gear. I dont care about how many dps will I do as long as I can tank everything we will encounter. I have free reset so it's the best moment to ask which path should I choose, what do you think?

Would you recommend following your build or try something else ?

Yes. With Enduring Call on CWDT as well as on demand will allow you to taunt things off your party (you go first). In terms of tanking, I've yet to see anything rival it.

Yes, as I noted in my alt-build notes -- Rime Gaze is nice for increasing DPS and ES, but you lose some int, chaos res, etc. Also it can be challenging to get the colors you want.

Thanks for replying. And what about the gear ? We're well... casual players, we don't know any prices, and as you see we're 31 lvl only so we're quite early in the game.

I don't even know where I can drop that epic Aurora shield that is essential to this build :)
Focus on block nodes, endurance charges, resists, and health.

Go for the best gear you can :). Aegis, stone, and rainbow are huge for the build.

How did you reached 65% spell block? I've Aegis, 25% Rainbow, 3% Corrupted Stone, and Spell Blocking node. Also, checked my build, similar to yours since I learnt from your build here earlier but not reaching that spell block...? Must be missing out somewhere...? Appreciate advice. Cheers ^^

Is your block chance 75% and do you have the '12% of block chance applied to spell block' (wanted to verify which node you had)?
