What is your goal for PoE?

my goal is to get more attack speed

still remember how cool it was when I got to 8 aps cleave back in closed beta, now this number is sooo low in comaprison

yesterday got 32 aps with an echoing shrine for 1 minute and it was glorious

To reach 95. 1.5 levels to go with 0 74-78 maps. Not sure I want to grind my way up the map tiers again...

I'm surprised at how many people want to get to level 100. I have a very ambitious goal for the game, but it doesn't include 100 just because those last 10 levels get unbelievably tedious. My highest is level 91 and I doubt I'll bother going further than that any time soon.

reliving the feeling i got in diablo 2 when i got sweet item drops, jumped around killing monsters, traded, argued, had rivalries, was a part of a community, made friends within the game

every time i play PoE it's like a injection of nostalgia, but with new faces, new items, more options and in my experiences so far, a better more tight knit community

i guess the goal is recreating emotions i experienced growing up that I thought I wouldn't feel in another game ever again

the game just makes me feel some type of way, and the feeling I get is the reason I keep coming back


I don't really know if I have a set goal in PoE, I just like the game and keep playing, my goal is to enjoy my time here while it lasts

I started playing PoE mostly becouse i loved playing Diablo 2 with the HD resolution patch, but since it's considered a cheat on the official servers, i had to play on a private server. I got 2 chars through all difficulties (a barb and a necro) and had much fun, but then i started playing other things for a while and when i came back after about 6 months, i found out that the private server had shut down.

So when i started out in PoE, i did the same thing as i did in both Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 - make a melee fighter class and choose the easiest build so that i could go through the content fast while at the same time accumulating as much wealth and resources for my future chars as possible.

After defeating Dominus and starting on maps, a co-player explained to me a couple of advanced things which were not mentioned in that newbie-friendly groundslamer guide which is when the previously quoted part really started to sink in.

About then my goal switched from generally reaching level 80 to equipping my Marauder in useful legendary gear only and combining gear, gems, sockets and flasks to the point where i will be able to do maps with only useful legendaries equipped and without dying; so this is my current goal basicly. I only need one Heup of all ring and one Carcass jack to reach it, but since those are quite pricy items, it will probably take me a while to get there.

After that, my Firestorm witch is next to be leveled up, but when the new season will start in august, i'm also planning to make a new Ranger in there becouse i first want to have all three basic classes (str, agi & int) before i start experimenting with the hybrid ones.

Last but definitely not least - since i loved playing a Necro in D2, i'm already collecting relevant gear to make a summoner in PoE, but later.
