[3.0] NeverSink's ♣ INDEPTH Tornado&Archer Guide ♣ Beginner friendly ♣ Rapid clear ♣ All bosses
A couple questions about the suggestions in the build writeup:
1) Given that you want your Puncture to hit as hard as possible for single target damage and the bleed, why prioritize Faster Attacks and Pierce over Crit Chance for the Path 2 (No Drillneck)? 2) Why cap your CWDT/Enduring Cry/Immortal Call at lower levels? Is it to cut down on the STR requirement or there's some optimal procing going on here? |

" 1.)bcs faster u puncture, more chance to be alive in sticky situations, faster u shoot = more u move between shots 2.) bcs cwdt gem have restriction to gem level, that it triggered |

@Visigoth123
Because of the needed damage taken to cast. It's 880 damage taken with a lvl 7 and 1850 with lvl 14, so it more than doubled. You probably have around 4-5k life and 880 damage taken is enough to make it trigger when you need it. Thats 1/5 of your maximum hp! Imagine if you would use an lvl 14 CWDT and have to lose around half to a third your max hp to trigger it. I mean.. you could level it up so EC and IC work with the level restriction but it wouldn't be smart imo. Última edição por Purexec em 6 de jan de 2015 23:16:55

at what lvl will a new bow work better then my current or can i head into maps with it? thx in advance =] |

Hi OP,
Why use Curse on hit to apply 1 curse while u can just cast it? faster with attacks? farther? Ty |
|
I use CoH with Herald of Thunder and Assassin's Mark and Reduced Mana, it works as good as having Power Charge on Critical.
Have it in a 4-link, it is a bit hard to color though (4-off colors in e.g. Maligaro's) but doable (~300 Chroms on average when using Vorici's 1B-recipe I think). With a clear speed as high as this build you really don't want to stop and cast a curse manually (especially with very low cast speed), Herald of Thunder works like a charm for this. /Edit: " You will use this bow until you can afford a decent (300+ pDPS) Decimation/Harbinger imho. The 1 additional arrow is a huge addition to Tornado Shot. Try to use all three Herald's instead of Hatred and spec crit as soon as possible (if you are Standard/Torment), flat damage on gear will also help tremendously. I made a little upgrade on my gear (my bow):
...well, I was about to buy a 6L Decimation bow, but it was low level, so my bf gifted me this Imperial Bow. Can you guys say the difference between Imperial, Harbinger and Decimation, please? And flasks: ...and I didn't pass even of the two Vaal Oversouls at Apex of Sacrifice... What am I doing wrong? T.T |
|
" Imperial Bow is a bow with high base attack speed. Decimation Bow is like the Harbinger one with high crit chance but low attack speed (Decimation is just a lower base than Harbinger, equals less damage with the same mods). With a crit build (like this) every single percent of base crit chance (that one that is on the bow) is multiplied by a large modifier. Because of this the base crit is very important! Your bow only has 5% crit chance which probably results in about 30-35% overall crit chance (just a guess by me) which you can look up in the offensive character screen when you select tornado shot or puncture. A 8-9% crit bow would result in nearly the double amount of crit chance - which means your damage is MORE than doubled with the same base damage (as crit multiplier also multiplies your damage by a huge margin). Vaal Oversoul is not _that_ hard if you know what you do (and have decent evasion - you didn't link your chest body armor). I think the trio before Atziri is far more stressing and deadly (imho the hardest bosses in the game, more than Atziri which is just a skill (luck or non-desync) or gear check). I don't know if puncture works well on them, as they don't move (for the bleeding effect), if not just use Tornado Shot. Just make sure you get them down relatively equally and then kill them both without much time in-between. As when one is killed, the other is CONSIDERABLY buffed in damage (which can probably one-shot you with it's laser). /Edit: And ... you can also run with a 5-link, the 6th is not THAT important imho. Better get a decent Decimation/Harbinger instead of a 6-link Imperial/Thicket. Else play out the strengths of such a bow (more flat damage on gear etc. to use the high attack speed) Última edição por daish0 em 7 de jan de 2015 08:49:13

Oh, thank you very much!
About the lasers... I almost got 1 shot by it ONCE, without any risk of getting killed by it, but that lightning balls, oh, dude... ._. It pisses me off...... ._. I died ONLY because of that damn lightning balls -cry- There is no flask to survive this!! I forgot the chest x.x Here it is: So.. It was better to buy a Decimation, then? =/ But my damage was 9k Puncture and 4,5k Tornado Shot... With this bow it is now 14k Puncture and almost 6k Tornado Shot... I'll buy a Harbinger when I have enough currency for this xD It's the best choice, so.. |
