What ascendancy should I go for? I know Pathfinder is the best right now but I don't have enough budget for their top end flask like Taste of Hate and Dying Sun. If I scrap everything I have I would have enough for Vinktak but everyone is calling for it's nerf right now. I have Rumi but that's it

Hey I need some help with understanding this build. I have been playing for five days and made it to lvl 81. Still monsters in dry lake are able to kill me.

There is no quick solution unfortunately. You should stack as much HP as possible. Too many uniques w/o life.

I would replace boots & gloves with high HP + resist rare ones for now. Chest is terrible. Look for 80+ Life with resists. Basically look for +HP and resists until you reach ~4K life, do not bother yourself with DPS increase until then.

Fastest way to get better is to buy a Kaom's Heart + 5L bow if you have the currency.

Asking all of these questions in the context of me not having *any* of your godly stuff and still mid-tree with self-found goodies.

- you link Blink Arrow with Curse on Hit -- will your clone then curse for you?
- Instead of Physical to Lightning, could we also run Added Cold for additional chill if we cannot afford running Herald of Ice and/or Hatred -- particularly for a single-target Frenzy? Or do we need to run those at all costs?
- You don't seem to have much or even any Chaos Resistance? I must have missed something -- why is this not particularly important?
- How frequently does Curse-on-hit function or proc with Herald of Thunder? (I think it's not working for me, I must be doing something wrong?)

I just quickly tested this ingame and no, it sadly doesn't. I use Frenzy in my Curse 4link in addition to Herald of Ice for easy single target application while keeping up my charges as well when no trash is available to kill for Blood Rage.

Added Cold adds flat damage while Physical to Lightning adds %damage, so it will be much less. I very much recommend that you use at least one of Hatred and Herald of Ice, Hatred is a tremendous damage and CC boost while HoI is great CC and curse application against trash.

Almost no enemy deals Chaos damage and for those that do, Atziri's Flask should cover you. Even without the flask Chaos damage is so rare that I don't think it's worth it to invest much into resist.

You need to actually deal enough Cold damage to freeze enemies (also you need to crit!), so that when you kill them they shatter and deal damage to enemies around them -> this is what applies the curse.

Probably I am the last person to make an example but my char should be visible now. :)

I reached lvl 87 under 10 co budget. I am half-self found (helm, quiver, belt, rare ring, gloves). Yesterday I purchased chest for 35 co, still trying to recover from such a loss of currency.

I somehow managed to reach 5.3K life, capped resistances and 110% iir. My DPS truly sucks though.

Sorry if I was not clear enough. I was trying to say scrap your chest -> buy a Kaom's Heart -> buy a 5L bow and use that bow for TS setup. Kaom's Heart does not have any sockets - as you may know already.

Sorry, how does Herald of Ice apply curses?
And also sorry: It's been almost 3 years since I last played, and then Chaos Resistance was very important, especially in Act 3 (those quick snake things had Chaos projectiles). Has all that changed?
